As those familiar with his Booth history are well aware, Verse Simmonds is a pretty straightforward guy when it comes to the ladies. Whether he’s inviting you to sit on his “magic wand or propositioning you through an Intoxicated Text, his agenda’s right there in the open. Similarly, when he offers to Buy You A Round, he makes no bones (pun intended) about his intentions – the alcohol is simply the shortest route from point A to point B (B, of course, stands for “Bedroom.”). On the official remix of his current single, the Virgin Islands-born singer is joined by a whopping five guest emcees. Jim Jones, Jermaine Dupri, OJ Da Juiceman, Juvenile and The Game each step up to the mic to deliver their most seductive bars over Meco the Great‘s swirling synth backdrop. All six collaborators turn in solid performances, but I’ll let the single ladies (OK, gents can have their say, too) decide who comes out on top. Verse’s Stories of a Bachelor LP has yet to receive a solid release date from the label brass. Keep it locked to our front page for all the latest!

This is the first time I've listened to Verse, whose not quite on my radar after hearing this but certainly someone I may look into later. Outside the lead artist's contribution, this has got to be one of the worst line-ups I've ever seen. OJ da Juiceman? No thanks. Jim Jones? Definitely not. Dupri? Nope. Juvenile and Game were the two standout features in terms of stardom, however, both of their catalogs are slowly slipping. Everything off the R.E.D. album that I've heard so far has been mediocre and best and Juve's offerings have been just slightly better. Both artists live up to what can be expected from them at this point in time.

Anyways, the production is hot, sounds like a Ron Brownz/Polow collaboration; it's a shame it was wasted on such a mediocre song.

Just like yesterdays Whatever You Want Remix, this features a bunch of big name artists, but WUW's were probably better. Just like WUW, the verses weren't very good, but what separates this from WUW is the hook. WUW's hook is just annoying while this is really catchy

The hook and production were the high points on this track, but I thought this was a disappointing performance from this lineup. Game, Juve, and Dupri were decent but I thought they all could have come harder. I don't even know why people would want Jim Jones or OJ on their tracks. They didn't add to it at all (no surprise). Verse was decent but I've heard better from him. I'll give it rotation status.

I am a big fan of both Verse and this sexy production, but I am not sure I would have chosen the same selection of guest artists. Not to mention, when you have 5 emcees on your club banger, you are kind of forced to take a backseat.

All that said - Verse should be a ready mainstay this time next year.

After seeing the features I was skeptical whether this would be a rotation track for me, but it worked out well. This is the type of track that Jim Jones' less-than-exciting works well on, and J.D. actually did OK. OJ's verse was hard to listen to for me, but they always are. (I think his flow sounded like a much less amusing Afroman) Juve brought a different vibe to the track, and Games intensity made me forget this is a track about seducing the ladies, lol. It's not the greatest remix, but I can't deny this rotation.

Jones= Horrible
Dupri=Ok
OJ=Why?
Juvenile=Decent
Game=Easily the best, now if everyone came as hard as him it would be CLASSIC. The lineup was odd though....

Wouldh've like to here a new verse from Verse, lol.

I much rather listen to the original, now THAT was a classic!

Rap fail. I don't mind the production, but Jermaine Dupri and OJ da Juiceman on the same track? That must be the reason Jim Jones and Game sound so competent in comparison. I'm sorry, was I not supposed to be that honest?

And Z, you said Verse had to take a backseat on the track when he's got 5 rappers on it. True, but why did he have to have 5 rappers on the track? Don't set up a situation you can't hang with .

Suprisingly, Orange Juice wasn't that bad. Neither was Jim Jones. I think Verse still managed to shine among these stars.

I'll too stick with the Original cos a lone Game verse can't make me overlook the mediocrity AND wackness Jim, JD, Juvenile AND OJ respectively brought to the "Remix".

I would have given it an extra star, but Jermaine Dupri was on the track. Everything else was okay other than that.

My first listen to Verse, but I could see it in the club without all the extra collabos. The hook and production was enough for me.

I don't even know why they put out the remix, the original is a club banger already, and it was GOOD! I think this lineup was ridiculous....so many names and SO unnecessary. I think if he just would have done just Juvenile, or just Game ( who bounced nice on this beat), it would have been less confusing and distracting.
