First and foremost, we here at DJBooth know how overused the whole “fly” metaphor has become. With that said, Pittsburgh native Vaig is not about to offer up a lyrical cliché, but rather a new way to spit game to that lovely shawty. On his new single, Glide, fellow Pittsburghian Arson Amazing lends his skills to the production, while singer Nesia Beatz’s (also from Pittsburgh) provides vocals that are a fitting match for this string-enhanced, feel-good Summertime track. After all, what girl wouldn’t like her man to give her the feeling of floating on air? Vaig’s new album, Fall 2 Rise, will be released later this year.
I don't no man. I think this is more of a Fall type beat rather than a summer track. I can see glidin to this. Vaig is cool here. This song has potential. Not bad.
My bad for being late to post today! Just got back from GLOW IN THE DARK and it was NUTS! I was so lucky...got in free an d was backstage! Met Kanye, Lupe, Bishop G and Nikki Jean. Me and Nikki chilled and tell me why LUPE was selling "The Cool" to people in the crowd and out on the block after his set...lol! But none of these songs are working for me, so I just thought I’d tell bout my evening. LOL
Jesavail, you are using my choice word: 'solid.' Since I now have to come up with a new word to describe Vaig's song, I will use "ultra-solid." Ha! Beat that. Shout out to my Pittsburgh fam!
I really dig the ethereal beat and vibe goin with this track. I would def listen to just the instrumental- which is rare for me- but while the flow is tight, I just think the subject matter doesn't fit the song. I would like to see Vaig rap about something else on this track and maybe use these lyrics on something more upbeat. Just my opinion.
I love Glide and i am so glad you are finally getting some recognition for all of your hard work!! You are a Star and your music is the truth!!!!! Lots of love and support!!
Im feelin this joint! I dont understand the low ratings either. It has that feel of bonita applebaum/Dela feel. You aint seein right now with all the stuff out there especially with dude being from Pittsburgh, (no pun intended). Its good to take risk and I think this one was worth it. I aint hear the echo flow yet, lol. I guess this is the start of something new,lol but he made it work good and the beat is like a ochestra but with a hip hop kick to it. I Im feelin it, Keep doin ya thing
Hot! I've always liked this track. I'm not gonna get all technical but it was written well, arranged well, produced well and has a different feel than what's out now! Shout out to Vaig, one of the next up out of Pittsburgh.
