Honestly, it hasn’t been a good couple of years for Usher Raymond. Once the undisputed king of the r&b world, lately Usher’s been struggling, releasing a mediocre album Here I Stand, divorcing his wife and, fittingly, watching his last single Papers fail to make a real impact. Well, if at first you don’t succeed, put T.I. on a track called My Bag. For Usher’s latest attempt at regaining his previous glory the still golden voiced star picks up the pace considerably, vocally swaggering over some pounding, rock-oriented production from the possibly still bankrupt Scott Storch. For his part T.I. drops a decent, jewel-drenched verse, resulting in an overall product that’s perfectly enjoyable, but I don’t think it’s true hit material. Anyone disagree? My Bag is the latest leak off Usher’s upcoming album Raymond vs. Raymond, which Jive is refusing to set a solid release date on (not a good sign). Keep it locked to DJBooth.net for all the latest .

Lots of star power here and a bit of a disappointment. I've dug some rock-oriented productions in the past but I just don't think it sounded great with Usher. The song didn't really captivate me. T.I. was decent and brought this to ratation.

I agree that this is not hit material, it was boring, TI was the only highlight, but I felt like Usher didnt bring enough energy

I like the beat. I like the vocals. I like the guest feature. I don't love it, it just is. I'll put it in rotation. Looks like Usher's album sales will go down a notch with this one; none of the singles are picking up.

To the guy who posted this: please listen to Usher - More. That's Love In This Club material. Granted, this wasn't his year, but he has some bangers out.
Also, you guys are hating I think. This is really catchy, it grows on you. It's lacking that energy, BUT ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A SUMMER HIT. good laid back banger. "getting male (mail) every day no homo" lol. |

I'm not quite as down on this track as other folks, but I definitely agree it's nothing special. To me Usher sounds like a dad trying to sound like his kids, it just sounds ackward. On a side note, Amerie could have killed this beat.

This is not a bad tune at all. I heard it for the first time in NY on Tuesday and feel the same way now. Nothing spectacular but it's a different look for Ursh. More bragging than anything

@D3lit3: hell yea, More was a crazy song, but I don't think it was finished, theres not rly an end t o, but that's a future hit unless he doesn't put it on the album, which would be a huge mistake

I'm a faithful usher fan, but it's getting tough to keep the faith.
This is all a bit of a mess to me, it sounds as though they just threw this together for the sake of putting Usher and TI on the same track. The beat is boring and generic, when you have two stars like this on a track, why lay down this garbage. Nothing fresh, nothing getting my head bobbing; disappointed. Caveat: I'm not hating, I'm just expecting so much from Usher and he has again disappointed. |

Bragging and boasting with no real appeal to back it up. Average track, dying to be more than it is.

My friends at the label tell me he has a real treat of an album on his hands, but everything I have heard thus far has been very very VERY disappointing. Needless to say - Usher needs to step his game up on the single selections, because this one wouldn't do...

I expected a much better track from 3 big names in the business, the production didnt suit Usher at all, though i was thinking halfway through the track that Chris Brown could probably of made a hit record out of it.

I honestly like this song..We all know that Usher is a dope crooner but its those tracks were he is keeping it pimpin' that adds that extra flavor...I think this is a banger and of course T.I. really helped...

I thought the beat on this track was str8 banging. Usher rides it smooth enuf not to take away from it. T.I. did his thing and overall it isn't the greatest thing I have heard but it would definitely be in my high rotation.

Why does everybody keep sayin Usher fell off? Here I Stand showcased Usher growing up and being a Man that was love wit his family at tha time along great vocals and impeccable song writing. This song is a good song but not single worthy. Papers was crazy, i thought it was go pop. But maybe it didnt because he probably was conflicted on how to shoot the video

Y'all are crazy. Usher flows smoothly over the beat, and T.I. is the perfect guest feature to put it over the top. The track is in pretty heavy rotation on the radio here in Indy, so it has to be making some kind of waves. I just can't believe that USHER of all people can't get an album release date set in stone!

If the beat changed more then it would be a banger, because it doesn't change it leaves Usher vulnerable...T.I. shuda done the song en Usher the guest verse...
