Three months ago DJBooth was sent the Rich Harrison-produced cut, Dat Gurl Right Dere. The song was sung by Harrison’s own artist, Young Steff, and featured a then on-the-rise rapper named Hurricane Chris. While Harrison still has high hopes for Steff, the crafty production veteran pawned off the beat (along with the title and melody) to R&B King, Usher. Still unknown if the buzz cut will be the first off Usher’s untitled 2008 album, Dat Girl Right There is a club smash waiting in the wings and is the second high-profile collaboration between two of ATL’s finest, Usher Raymond and Ludacris. While Usher ushers in a new era in his musical career, can the undisputed Goliath stay on top?

Usher is the only artist that I know of that Vastly improves from one album to the next. Not only are the songs and production better from one album to the next, but he also improves his dancing, singing voice, and fashion sense. People who are multi-platinum singers, don't normally work on their voice talent to his extreme. I hope he can continue his trend, but it going to be harder for him now than ever before. This beat is really unique which could also be a potential deal-breaker for many listeners. It's either a hit or miss track. I am kind of tired of Ludacris right now...but Usher did his thing on this track...

The beat dosent suck on this song at all. Sure its a little different sounding but I think the beats crazy. Listening to this in my headphones the beat really sounds good at times and to me Usher does a really good job over this. Then Ludacris absolutely obliterated this Thigh Thigh Thigh Thigh at the begining of the song thats just crazy.
