Mick Boogie has had a busy year. In fact, the Cleveland, Ohio-to-Brooklyn, New York transplant hasn’t even had a chance to settle into his new digs. Earlier this week, the former Cavalier house DJ dropped his new Honor Roll mixtape, which includes a stellar tribute record to De La Soul. On Stakes Is High (Pt. 1), Inglewood, California duo, U-N-I does a wondrous job of rapping over Ahmad Jamal’s Swahililand with energy and confidence. Producer 6th Sense works some magic on the track as well, complimenting the musical musing of the legendary J. Dilla. While it’s a shame that these ‘We Got Next’ artists have not yet graduated into the mainstream, the Booth sees their movement and plans to keep a close eye.
True hip hop. this is crazy hot lyrics. Great chorus what else can i say. Check out their beautiful day remix they got like 10 artists on the remix and its like 7 mins long.

I love these jazz/soul influenced beats, but what stands most on this is U-N-I, an unbelievably still unsigned great duo! Hot lyrics, flow and meaning are granted when it comes to a "U-N-I verse", lol! I had just heard the Beautiful Day remix today, what a coincidence...

these dudes are incredible. I love ever song they've done so far. This sample is always dope as hell. But this may be the best one so far. I love it. U-N-I-!!!!
In this song I'm feelin the production and their flows, but I don't think they fit each other. I mean, I'd like to hear them with another music in the background and the music with other rappers, maybe with someone who would also sing in the hook! It's a good product but it doesn't sound so tuneful to my ears. In the long run it bores me! 2,5
Unsigned---?? I cannot believe these cats are unsigned!! This is the type of music I eat, drink, and breathe! I wish this type of music was more mainstream rather than some of the garbage that is out!! U-N-I has earned my respect!
