Tyrese - I Gotta Chick That Love Me
Producer: Brandon Alexander
Album: None (Promo Single)
Label: EMI/Voltron Recordz
Way back in February of ‘08, Tyrese stepped into the Booth with Coming to See You—a single intended to finally get the R&B vet’s fourth LP off the back burner and on track for release. Three years, four months and 825 days later with the project nowhere to be found, you’d think the artist would be utterly exasperated with the game but, on the contrary, his latest effort finds him sounding as smooth and unruffled as ever. His secret? As he reveals on this new “leak for the streets,” “I Gotta Chick That Love Me.” With the slow-rolling, bell-accented grooves of Brandon Alexander sizzling in the background, the L.A. native celebrates the power of a good woman to ease life’s stresses, waxing poetic about a shawty who’s got him “...open like a f*ckin’ bag of chips.” Young Money repper Tyga assists, expressing his devotion to his own girl (and enjoying some delicious Italian cuisine) on the back, and the one and only R. Kelly tops the cut off with his inimitable hook vocals. Now that Tyrese is back, are you hungry for more? Stay tuned—Open Invitation isn’t set to drop till 11/1/11, but the singer’s preparing to drop two singles (Stay and the Luda-assisted Too Easy) in the near future.

"and she'll do anything that's why I fux wit her" <- Tell it like it is! Usually R&B isn't my thing but what we have right here is genius. It's catchy and has a cool vibe through out the entire track.

I'm not a huge R&B guy, but I'm feeling this one. The beat had me head bobbing from the first second. Tyga was impressive too. He added a nice change of pace and complimented Tyrese perfectly.

Overwhemlingly positive response to this new Tyrese songs - which is crazy considering his e-mail to Tyga (which was sent over to us) explained that this was "just a record to throw out there for the net / streets." Seems like maybe its more, eh? I am a fan, but I am not going to go overboard... yet.

This shit is FIRE...WHAT? Damn I thought Transformers was gonna make this nigga forget he started on a Coke bus lol but he goes in on this shit joint and the beat is fire! And I could actually tolerate Tyga on this. I would have rather heard Big Sean on this though, he would have merk this with his chick humor

This track gives me some mixed feelings. The production is amazing. Digging the interpolation of Slow Jamz, and through it the interpolation of the chord progression from A House is Not a Home. However, Tyrese's lyricism is somewhat lacking throughout the entire track. The features are stronger than the actual performer. I feeling like this would have been a much better track if it was R. Kelly ft. Tyga. Kells should have just taken the entire chorus because the harmony between him and Tyrese just sounds off.

Nice smooth track. Reminds me of some 90's early 2000 R&B. Tyrese definitely hasn't lost his voice. Tyga was a decent addition, Kells didnt really do too much, though I bet he wrote this whole song :p
