Is it possible to make the pop audience swoon with your lead single, then come back with a follow-up that’ll knock harder-core heads’ socks off? Normally, I’d argue against trying to be all things to all people, but Tyga just might have pulled it off. Though the newly-released Really Raw finds the young emcee once again hooking up with Skateboard P and Chad Hugo, that’s where the similarities to First Time end. In contrast to that joint’s steamy R&B vibes, this cut finds the Neptunes serving up a slick, bass-driven groove meticulously-crafted for maximum noddability. The Cash Money signee comes with self-assured rhymes to match, voicing his love of iPad porno and name-dropping obscure 1978 Jaws ripoff Piranha (yeah, I didn’t know that movie existed either). Fellow Compton representatives Snoop Dogg and Game lace the cut’s latter two-thirds with some whip/weed-crazy bars of their own, and Pharrell steps out from behind the boards to lend his vocals to the hook. Think Really Raw lives up to its title? Then stay tuned to you-know-where for the latest on Tyga’s Careless World LP, set to drop sometime this spring.

Is Tyga "Really Raw"? A few years ago, I would have had to say no, but now I believe he is. He has matured as an artist and always sounds hungry. I would have preferred a little more Tyga and a lot less filler guest emcee, but its a nice cast of characters and a solid effort all around.

Just ok. Tyga doesn't convince me, Snoop sounded like Snoop, Game was ok. The Hook was off and the production is bland.

Tyga has a good rap voice, slick flow. Snoop add the icing on the cake.

This definitely isn't "Coconut Juice," but it's for the better and Tyga comes hard on this. This also might be the best Neptunes beat I've heard in a year, which is the major reason I love this track. Snoop and Game are great additions, and that hook has got some swag!

I just don't reallt get who Tyga's trying to be. Being able to do different kinds of songs is good, but it seems like he's not doing anything particularly well. I do feel a llitle bad that he got kicked of Deuces though.

Tyga is a artist that every1 at my high school considers one of the best mcs out right now. I find this laughable. The problem is hes fake. Take Tyga off this song and i proably give it a 4 star.

The beat is classic and I was impressed with the line up. Is it just me or did the Game sound a little like Nas on this track??
Overall banger!!

I felt like Tyga got renegaded. Game and Snoop put this beat in a hearse but Tyga was weak.

This is one of those minimalistic beats made to be attacked, but I'd have to agree with Young Swish - the headliner gets outdone by his guests.

Straight head nodder by Skateboard P. This is Tyga's song but I enjoyed Snoop's and Game's 16 more.

This is a one time play for me. Was feeling the first verse but it all went down hill after that.

I don't know if I really wanted to like this one, but damn. I can't deny it. This is tough. My head's nodding like crazy. This minimalist Neptunes beat is a heatrock. Most I've enjoyed a production of theirs in a minute. Tyga probably gets outshined lyrically, but that's alright. Still manages to make a statement. Lol @ Pharrell's stunting though. "Gargling champagne, that's really raw."

I f*cks with Tyga. Agree with you guys it may not have been his defining moment as an artist, but he's smooooth.

Impossible to deny Game absolutely bodied this one...And I'm not even a fan.

Pharell needs to stay behind the boards.

The version "raw" with chris brown was a quality track, great beat great lyrics. This song is poor from an artist of tyga's ability, he tries to make it big by getting some big names on the track, but the variation of the artists on this track doesnt mix well

2 stars, just!

Tyga was cool on the track. He brought a nice flow. Game was really forgettable and Snoop was a nice addition. Besides the beat Pharell was pointless.
