There’s nothing like a close brush with death to put life into perspective. On a freshly-minted standout off his latest street release, Ty Farris dramatizes the existential crisis that persuaded him to change his priorities, recounting his Last Thoughts leading up to a near-fatal heart attack. Swiff D provides an instrumental backdrop for his reflections, blending choral synths with insistent percussion as the Motown native encourages listeners to set petty beef aside and show love to their friends and family before it’s too late. For this thought-provoking jam, reader-approved lead single Out the Ghetto and much more, check out Farris’ Tyrant street album, released to the ‘net yesterday, December 12.

Nothing to write home about, but not bad. I thought the production was a little weak, and Ty's energy was a little lacking, but I like the concept/lyrics.

This was a bit lifeless... Not feeling the flow by Ty much on this one... Beat was OK... Pretty average.
