Troy Ave - I Got You
Artist: Troy Ave
Producer: Lando Beats
Album: Romance for the Streets
Label: Unsigned
Been craving new music from Troy Ave, the BK native who blessed our eardrums with his Bricks in My Backpack 3:The Harry Powder Trilogy mixtape back in June? As the man himself says on his latest song release, “I Got You baby.” Slicing and dicing a sample from The Weeknd’s Doc McKinney and Illangelo-produced Rolling Stone, Lando Beats provides a moody musical backdrop for bars displaying Ave’s blasé brand of swag. On the back, the artist excitedly details his plans for the future, as well as dropping a few sage pearls of rap-game wisdom (“Street n**gas can always go mainstream, but a mainstream n**ga can’t ever get the streets, believe that.”) in a spoken-word outro. This joint is slated to find a home on mixtape project Romance for the Streets, which has yet to receive a solid drop date.

Troy Ave's flow is tough on this joint. Sick flow and tight beats by Lando. I'm downloading this one now...
