Since their self-titled debut album (packaged together with Lil’ Scrappy) was released in ‘04, Atlanta crunk group Trillville has gone through more than their fair share of industry drama. After sitting through several delays with the now-permanently shelved Trillville: Reloaded, cutting ties with BME Recordings, and losing member Dirty Mouth to former distributor Warner Bros., lone soldiers Don P and Lil’ LA are ready to take their new Universal distribution deal and get the ball rolling. With a futuristic tone, courtesy of Don P, Trilllville’s focus clearly shifts from the mosh-pits to the techno clubs, where they hope to start a Money Line back to the top. The trio turned duo is set to drop their new album, Straight Up, No Chaser , later this year.
I definitely feel this killing it in a country mash-pit type of Rap club somewhere; but where I am from; this will get no play (except for maybe on 106 and park). It's OK. You can get a mean lean ridin to this music though.
DJ BLAZE Once again I agree with you, the beat kinda reminded me of some three six mafia type music and for a minute I was straight bouncin and throwin bows in my seat....and then they started to rap...and I lost interest
Ya kinda wonder what artists would rap about if this was one of those 'for the love of the game' type of hobbies. No money, just pure enjoyment and self-fulfillment. Hit me up Don P, let us know!
This is actually a great beat, but the rapping and the lyrics are not that nice. DJ Z raises a great point. It is all about the bling bling and the fame. This song exemplefies the superficiality of Hip-Hop/Rap. I know there are a few artists that are trying to improve the state of Hip-Hop but they are the minority.
This song is alright...Don P holds it down. He is my fav. out of Trillville. I think they should combine the Franchise Boys with Trillville, take Pimpin' and Parlay and add Don P and you can call 'em "The Trill Boyz" haha
