When it comes to Florida rappers, it’s getting harder and harder to tell who’s really living what they’re spitting and who’s just indulging in a little make-believe. Fortunately, Miami icon Trick Daddy has discovered a surefire way to sniff out a fake: simply watch What Dey Do. You’ll soon see that the wannabes do whatever the real thugs tell ‘em, for fear of death. T-Double-D’s Dunk Ryders protégé, BadGuy, turns the rawness up to the maximum, and Desloc‘s background vocals, along with the Track Kings’ hard-knocking beat, cement What Dey Do as a solid street single for South Florida and Dirty South audiences. Trick Daddy’s eighth album, Finally Famous, has yet to receive a solid release date, but is scheduled to arrive sometime this summer.

Outside of Trick Daddy's controversial decision not to receive treatment for lupus, you can't deny the fact that his influence in Florida is still as important as ever. "What Dey Do" is yet another solid record from a true hip-hop veteran who doesn't have time to deal with the class clowns who are running this rap ish.

Hard record, not the best from Trick Daddy but this is a good comeback track to get his feet wet and spread some buzz. I won't download this but will def be looking for more from the album.

Not bad, but we all know Trick is capable of better. It was still a hard song, though. Good comeback record. Rotation.

Expect more from Trick than this - buzz record or not.
And for all of you youngins, Trick def did a lot to put MIAMI on the map, but give most of that credit to 2 LIVE CREW! "Me So Horny" anyone?

The beat is thumping..maybe it can get a few plays in the car but the lyrics are not that good. The hook sounds really corny for some reason. Nice beat but thats about it

Trick Daddy is like the hottest Miami rapper! With that said, this isn't his best work, but it still GOES HARD! I will put this in rotation, but I am sure he can come even harder with it! He can spit, that's for sure! The beat is Just OK. The other dudes kinda suck!

I instantly know the song is going to be grimy...the production is so gritty and hardcore. It sort of brings back memories of the Lil Jon song "Neva Eva" with Lil Scrappy on it. Something about the beat sounds similar to it...i just can't key point it though. There was a point and time where this type of music was all you heard...back in 2000-2004. I def miss that type of music. The vibe of the song and Trick daddy is like a perfect match. I can't see him on any other type of song except songs like these and those "i love the hood" heartfelt songs. He's just straight hood and i love it. This song is straight hood and i love it.

As someone from the 305 I can tell you most people round here bump Trick Daddy no matter who you are. Mostly cuz of the fact that you know he's real. Nice track. Can't wait for the album to drop.. Hoping to hear another anthem like "@*#$! the other side"
