Trick Daddy’s rap career has been one helluva rollercoaster. The Liberty City emcee, who first made it cool for rappers to talk about their websites, recently popped up on a slew of blogs after his alleged involvement in Rossgate ’08. Despite the ups and downs, though, Trick’s newest ride is likely to become a lot more exciting. Ten years after dropping his first studio LP, he has reintroduced himself as The Realest. Multi-threat Kevin Cossom jumps on board for this catchy, you-better-recognize hook and Trick once again teams up with The Runners to successfully deliver a hard-hitting track. The end result? Check his résumé and get nothing twisted—through all the ups and downs, the Daddy has remained real.
Typical Miami beat. I like trick though. He been holdin it down 4 Miami 4 a minute. He gets respect where ever he goes. Even cats out here in the west knows that trick loves the kids. He is reminding cats that in the midsts of all of the fake @*#$! around him, he is still the realest outta his city. I can dig that.
The Runners must be from Miami, because they produce so many tracks from Florida rappers. This song is pretty hot garbage to me, the production cant even save this one. Tricks latest work i was feeling was the album with In The Wind and Sugar on it, but hes been on the decline since. He's def gonna have to come harder than this to compete with Ross and others. Next...
I am disappointed in this production by the Runners. They've came better than this in the past. Trick Daddy's flow is nothing special to me and Kevin Cossom just sounds like T.Pain or Akon. Where's the originality?
The track sounds crowded, there's an annoying confusion of voices...anyway I like the beat and the production in general, so to me it's in rotation! I agree with J Worthy, it's a car banger song
I honestly can't wait for a new Trick Daddy Album...ever since he set it off Better than everyone else in "I'm So Hood". It is definitely time for a new album! This is some real thuggish $hit right here. Kevin lays it down on the chorus and The Runners did their thing on the beat! I can definitely throw this into rotation at least!
Blaze, I am in agreement with you; I cannot wait for the new Trick album. But, it's still a long ways off... we are looking at early '09 at best. With that said, Trick is going to need something much more radio-friendly (sorry, this is not a radio hit) to get with the program. He's real, no doubt, but marketable in today's climate as a soloist...
definately gona do something on the radio, and ive always liked trick. hook is good. of course the runners did a great job. but i can agree that all miami rap sounds the same. but thats wat i like about it. up beat and a car banger.
