When Trey Songz lets you know right off the bat that he’s gonna get a little nasty, prepare for a romp that’ll make you either blush or run to your nearest corner store for a pack of rubbers. The R&B lothario and his usual running mate Drake team up once more for Unusual, the latest single from Songz’ Passion, Pain & Pleasure album. If you’re expecting a rose and Quiet Storm type of groove from Andrew “Pop” Wansel and Oak here, you’re mistaken as they turn up the drums, hi-hats & synths for Songz to declare he’d sleep with his lady while her friends are in the room. Think of this as Love Faces without the sincerity and far more straight forward. Drake chimes in with calls to a woman directly stating his love for sexting and a threesome if need be. It’s another in a long line of those slightly vulgar verses Drake spits that will still somehow make a mother smile. Seeing that the Trey Songz Sings About Sex formula has sold so far, expect radio to be once again making Songz’ Unusual a “usual” hit.

Do you know how I know that "Unusual" was a great single selection alongside "Love Faces" for Trey? Because radio will play it and it features Drake. End of story.

Definitely the worst single choice of Trey's career. This song is a bit too experiemental for radio, but it WILL undoubtedly get played. I like it pretty good though.

Any track with Songz or Drake is guaranteed to get airtime. So when you combine them, it’s a lock that it will be very radio friendly. Whether or not it deserves its plays is up for debate. The beat is hot, and Drake does his thing, but it is really no different than any other song on the radio.

This was a great pick for a single. why? everyone knows for mainstream radio all that matters is that the chorus pops. add in drake and you got a song teeny boppers everywhere will be requesting.

In my opinion this is one of the best songs on Passion Pain & Pleasure and probably my favorite song that Trey has ever done. I'd be surprised if this didn't make it on radio. Trey is on top of the R&B world right now. Drake is always good for radio singles. Definitely a catchy enough hook. It's gonna blow up!

One of the best songs off the album. It's smart to release it now during the spring and with summer on the way. This is one of those jams that goes hand in hand with being a summer smash.

I remember hearing this before the cd came out and I was like..is this something that Jamie sang before or maybe should be.
