Following the current trend of “relationship issues are pulling my material in two separate ways” (Loso’s Make Me Better/Baby Don’t Go, K. Smith’s Better Man/Human Nature), expect Last Time to chart around the same place that Can’t Help But Wait was found. Last Time is the third single from Songz’ sophomore album, Trey Day, now available in stores and online.
Trey Songz is one of the most underrated R&B artists out today who can ACTUALLY sing. All of his records sound the way R&B should really sound. I've been a fan since he dropped his first single with Twista, but both of his album seriously got slept on.
For all the positive comments that Last Time has received, in addition to most of the other Songz features on DJBooth, you'd assume his latest album Trey Day would have at least been certified gold. But nope... no support.
VA stand UP....Trey is one of the best to come along in a while and Im not just saying that b/c Im from the Cap City, VA both albums were off the hook.......hopefully with time and consistancy he will get the recognition he deserves
Trey Songz is a great singer has to be one of the best this song is great been bangin' it out since i got the album, lots of hits on that album. If you ain't got it and you like this song you should definatly go out and buy it, you won't b dissappointed.
I listened to his album, but I did so very quickly and took it off of the MP3 player. I guess I have to put it back on and really listen, now that I don't have too much new stuff coming out. The production on this is very good; and Trey has a great voice and style. Like I said yesterday; this dude is everywhere and it will only help him! Good Track!
heard it like 8 months ago (cuz my bestfriend is a trey songz groupie) n fell n luv wit it...got excited when i found outits his next single...yes he is under rated n dats cuz his best songs r not even on his album...dey underground songs n shit....i wanna tlk to his management...i think its da a&r person rite?..
It starts off with a low catchy flute and a nice piano solo, and then comes a solid performance by one of the best singers in the R&B field. Trey is like a fusion of all the average singers (Omarion, Chris Brown, J. Holiday…) who still need to mature! He’s already a great vocalist! Love how he comes with a completely different melody on the second verse and how the beat breaks down for the bridge, which is cool too! A true gem!
