Despite what this record’s title might lead you to assume, this song isn’t a two-sided tale detailing Trey Songz’ and Sammie‘s involvement with one fickle female. Instead, She Ain’t My Girl finds the two R&B singers engaging in a little one-upmanship as they describe just how fine their respective ladies are. Like labelmate Pleasure P, Songz is perfectly happy being Boyfriend #2, and Young Yonny and Troy Taylor‘s music-box beat is sure to elicit further comparisons to the Pretty Ricky alumnus’ recent hit—though these similarities might tempt some listeners to break out the Haterade, such critics would be better-served simply accepting this record for what it is: proof of just how well Trey and Sammie know their audience. It remains undecided whether She Ain’t My Girl will appear on Trey Songz’ Ready (due out August 4th), or Sammie’s forthcoming, currently-untitled third album.

Songz has been underated his whole career and Sammie has the talents (like Trey) to follow in his footsteps. One can only hope he doesn't get sidestepped in the same manner.
This boardwork is slightly boring to me - feels like recycled version of about 10 other similar productions.

that1kid13 is back!!! lol. idk what it is with Trey.. his mixtapes were WAY better than what i expect for his CD to be. its really disappointing. idk why he has to "remake" someone else's song just to have a banger. this song is really forgettable. just like whatever song he has out now that doesnt get any radio play... |

I think this will serve well with its intended audience. Not really my style. That being said, these two can sing, man. A little too slow for me and I still kind of enjoyed it. Props for that.

They tried to make the production too catchy and it lacks the hit factor because it sounds too generic. Both of their vocals are pretty good..this could of been better if the production and hook was improved. OK

Gotta agree with that1kid13... The track isnt bad or anything but is very forgetable... Idk its missing that special sumthin... whatever that means?!?! But overall it is Trey Songz so ill round up from 2.5

This is a snoozer. Trey needs better production, I have the feelin his opinion of this beat when he heard it was the same as ours. But he did what he could wit it. Sammie is the future. I believe these two could make better music than this.

Trey is one of my fav r&b singers at the moment and this doesnt dissappoint!! The beat is missing something but Trey's voice more than makes up for it!!
Sammie does good too but i thought he wasnt really needed cuz trey could of held this track down by himself!! |

Smooth vocals is the main reason you would peep both of these Playas & mixing them over smooth production is a double dosage of dopeness ....

trey songz has defiantly been underrated his entire career but he has been probely one of the most consistent r&b singers out the last couple of years and his alubms knock but i like this joint kinda reminds me of same girl a little bit

I like what they tried to do with the production, but don't think it worked very well. I like the xylophone (I think that's what I hear) but I feel like it could have been smoothed in there to sound a little more cohesive with the rest of the production. I've always liked Trey's vocals, and this track is no exception. If they could tinker wit the production a bit and smoothe it out this would be a banger for me.

nice song for these guys their voices compliment eachother's very well....early vibe type of feel and a different type of slow song content wise (rejecting a girls status as to being your girlfriend but talkin bout tha sex) diffently gettin spun by me and tha rest of tha fellas
