Plenty of songs get ‘remixed’ each week, but few actually qualify as true remixes. Since a remix is defined as an alternative version of a song, different from the original version, slapping on a guest rap verse that is 16 bars long simply doesn’t cut it. Clearly Trey Songz understands this concept and on Can’t Help But Wait he scraps the beat and his original vocals, in addition to adding Weezy F. Baby for those aforementioned 16 bars. The timing of the release is suspect, Atlantic just released Trey’s new single Last Time to radio, but planning aside it could go mano e mano with the original and clearly is up to par with the best material Songz has released in his young career.

Definitely a banger, wayne killed on the intro. That being said, I'd give it only 4/5 because it wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be.

Yes! A true remix! Trey Songz and Weezy do a terrific job in transforming the mood and tone of the original record while still maintaining its subject matter. Go cope that "Trey Day" if you haven't already.

Any song with Trey Songz or Lil Wayne is normally great, so its no suprise that the two of them made a perfect remix for one of my fav. songs on Trey Day. Songz and Weezy are my all-time fav. artists, and i hope they continue with the hot songs!!

VASTANDUP!!! Finally an actual remix...This joint is fire...I like how Trey switched it up...Now....Im a big Weezy fan and I ride wit him but the intro on this joint was weak...the last verse saved him.....he done had too much lean

the original was my favourite song of 07, but this remix is good too, a different beat on a remix is something that a lot of artists forgot to do this past year, and it makes the original become boring...but this is a great remix. still prefer the original a lot more though...but both will be on the ipod.

Because lil wayne is on this track, I was actually thinking the song would be better; but Lil Wayne doesn't deliver on this track like he should have (being the greatest rapper alive and all). And I actually think the beat is worse here. This is surprisingly a downgrade with a lil wayne addition. I don't think this would happen often, but here is one of them.
