After the original version of the Troy Taylor and E. Miles-produced In Ya Phone drummed up its share of buzz, Trey Songz had no choice but to go back to the drawing board. On a newly-released remix, the Virginia bad boy takes a short trip to Brooklyn to pay a visit to Fabolous, who whispers sweet lullabies to all the single ladies in the club. The record, drawn from his forthcoming album, Ready, finds Songz more comfortable in his role as debonair Southern gent. With the help of this record, the ladies should be able to get their two-steps ready for the club… and have their Blackberrys waving in the crowd when they arrive. Though no official release date has been announced for the project, Ready will boast appearances from a cavalcade of top-tier collaborators.

First!! The beat is really catchy on this one and the production is awesome! Trey Songz voice is smooth and matches perfectyl with the beat. Fabolous brings another level to the track just by spitting a quick verse. Better than original. 5 star classic!

I realize I really love this production. I actually like this song period (original and remix) more than I did when I first did. I guess I was still kind of jaded by the "phone" subject matter. I'm excited about the new album though, cuz Trey is my favorite Male R&B Artist. I need to here another "Last Time" type joint from this one, and also an official appearance from Drake! T-DOT!!!!! This definitely sounded like something Fab was going to blend with really easily, cuz the bounce vibe reminded me of the "Shawty Is A Ten Remix". He should have spit it more with that swagger as well. But he did decent.

I like this....i understand why he would remix this..cuz on first version, he got a lil repetitive on the third verse..definitely lookin forward to the new album, "Ready", i still got "Gotta Make It" and "Trey Day" in heavy rotation...Best R&B nigga in the game right now to me..

Haven't listend to this often yet, but I like it. 3.75* cuz it didn't grip me straight up, but I liked it the first time I heard it. Production is good, songz is on point, and Loso does his thing to top it off

Okay, so I see some 5's and some 4's and a 1 (haha, BDF).
You know what that means? I am going to go with a 3.5 - I wish Fab kicked this one off instead of offering a lame duck third verse (its the old, lets hold him till the end and that way everyone will listen all the way through...) Trey did himself some good by pulling a Wayne the last few mo.

I don't remember the existence of the original song. Sorry! This one is pretty good... Not the best I've heard but still catchy and for clubs. Trey sounds good as usual and Fabolous kills it! Anyway I don't know if I would listen to this in my mp3 player, it makes me sleep after a while...while jogging I need something with more energy :P

I put the original in the rotation and the remix did nothing but make this one straight fire. I agree, Fab could've come harder, but he still killed it. I've been putting more and more of his work in my rotation, one of my fav. R&B artists out right now.

as a true die hard fan of trey songz, i think dis is a weak ass song. in my opinion, his first album was da best album....heavily slept on but i still keep dat sh** n rotation...it seems like dey not lettin him be him cuz when he originally came out he had so much soul to him but now he done changed.

Fab definitely makes this song a banger. His mop and glo reference was ridiculous and recognizes this himself. Always creative and inventive ( especially with work that was done with the ending if his verse) he always adds a nice compliment to Trey. Seems like Trey is found the right wave with Ready, he's really done well with it.
