Just in time for the season when folks are driving around with the top down, vibing out to their latest favorites, Trey Songz drops off a new song for fans to add to their summer rotation. Contrary to reports that Already Taken will appear on his next album, DJBooth has confirmed that the record is scheduled to appear on the upcoming soundtrack for Step Up 3-D, which is set to hit theaters late summer. Not the typical risqué Trigga record, Already Taken is more of a radio-friendly version of Trey, which should have girls everywhere blaring it on their iPods, as well as singing the chorus at the local gym, campus, and night club. Produced by Polow da Don, it has that signature uptempo vibe that makes it hard to resist dancing at some points. We like it, but that’s just one opinion; let’s see what the DJ Booth has to say about Trey’s latest offering.

Trey continues to grow up in front of our very eyes (or should I say ears). Without a doubt one of the most in-demand and powerful voices in R&B today. This isn't the catchiest of his records, but I'll be damned if people (girls) aren't singing along soon enough.
Sidebar: I love when other sites/blogs report false information... Why? Because we don't (unless our sources/contacts give us the wrong info haha) and never will. Book it.

you cant go wrong with polow da don. i gotta say it sounds good to hear trey sing some smooth ish other than just say ahhhh. Vocals were on point so i can see this getting radio play.3.5

vocals are still amazing as always and aswell the fact that he can rap too, well then, this is just a threat on all levels as a result he makes hits and this si no exception although not his best it still deserves praise

Yep, this is the scene in the movie when the leading lady/man falls for his/her romantic interest and love fills the air for however long the scene lasts. Cool.
This isn't bad, but Trey has to come a lot stronger to top what he's been putting out lately. |

I like how trey songz slowed this one down. I enjoy listening to his singing voice rather than the dance songs he seems to be making lately. I'll definitely be hearing this song from my girl soon also. Really good song I enjoy the route trey did on this.

Definitely has that summer feel to it. Maybe not as much as Airplanes but still something people can jam to with their windows rolled down on a nice night.
One of Trey's better songs, I really cannot stand some of the stuff he puts out. "Neighbors Know My Name" aggravates the hell out of me but at the same time how can you hate on "Say Ahh." Hopefully we have more songs like this coming from Trey Songz going into the future. |

Trey is wearing out his welcome on my speakers, he's everywhere on NY radio amnd I think we all need a break from this kid, now. The track is decent, ladies ill love it, obviously.

This is some quality R&B music. I like everything about Polow's production. Trey really knows how to flow on a track with his smooth ass voice. I could see this blowing up, but I feel like I would put it on my iPod and forget all about it shortly after.
Track's strongest aspects are the hook and Polow's production. This isn't a bad song. |

Trey is now offically my favorite R&B singer...well alongside Usher that is!
But still this man has come a long long way...and now you see him featured everywhere! This song continues his path to greatness...it won't live up to be one of his best tracks but hes still heading in the right direction. He is natural talent and it's no wonder everyone wants him on their track! |

Trey has really grown on me as a artist in the last year, despite his last album having some flaws, it was mostly filled with dope music. Im still shocked that Say Aah was the single that got Trey his first top 10 hit.
To this track, Polow's production is nice, though isnt as bass heavy as were use to hearing from him. Trey sounded good, though thats what I expect from him |

This song has way more of the Mixtape Trey feel than the Album Trey has put on out before. I'm not feeling the super autotunes harmonica ending at all but overall the song is good. I think this song would have been a lot better with a more uptempo dance beat. It would be nice to switch out Say Ahh with something from Trey that is made to make me dance instead of made with the intention to bed me.

I thought this guy was strictly for the females, but I actually enjoyed his opening in Greensboro for Jay. His work with Drake has also won me over. Great lyrics on this track. Does he write his own?

another of my favourite producers in polow da don making beats for one of my favourite r&b singers trey songz- im thinking im going to like this one.
just catchy as always from trigga, no matter what mood im in i can vibe to his song and forget about everything, i can see myself doing exactly that to this track. solid effort. 3.5 and rounding up! |

This is CLASSIC TREY. Sounds like the "Gotta Make It" vocalist with "Trey Day"'s beats-the PERFECT COMBO!
Side note: Is Polow trying for the three-peat as Producer of the Year? Cuz this should make a strong case for it. |

My thoughts exactly. Verses came across lackluster, could've been better with less cliched filler lines. But Trey Songz is in top form and was in full control of the beat. Rotation-Stuff! |

Trey Songz is back with something for the ladies with this Polow Da Don produced joint.
Polow da don once again produces an excellent track. "Already Taken" is a fresh R&B record that could very well be Trey's 1st single off his upcoming 2010 album. I'm especially diggin' the concept and the verses... pretty much everything except for the last lil' part that repeats (you'll see what I mean). But even then, the lyrics fit and the bravado at which Trey sings 'em makes it work. Easily gonna garner some repeats in the near future, ridin' with the windows down. Trey actually tweeted that the song "Already Taken" shouldn't be out yet but apparently it was played out in L.A. a few days ago and now available for download. Hopefully, more details will surface as to whether or not this will be a new single or merely just an unreleased track. Either way, it's a real nice record that you can grab above. Yuuup! |

Trey has been doin his thing lately, by spittin amazing verses on a remix to almost every song! He jst stepped it up alil bit more. i love his more slower songs then dancein songs like "Say ahhh" so, for this i give it a 4.5
