Translee - Does Anybody Love
Artist: Translee
Featuring: Raheem DeVaughn
Producer: RelDK
Album: Occupy Greg Street
Label: Digital Nativ3 Culture
In a time of unrest, inequality and political polarization, it’s easy to spend more time thinking about the people and things we hate than the ones we’re grateful for. On his latest mixtape single, Translee takes a look at the negativity surrounding him and wonders, “Does Anybody Love anymore?” Sent to us by heavyweight beatsmith Mr. Collipark, who’s been collaborating with the Huntsville rhymesayer, this newly-released mixtape single finds ‘RelDK crafting a low-key synth beat to back the headliner as he shakes his head at the bitter, superficial tone of public discourse: “We hate our way of life, but won’t do nothing to change it / and dreams of bein’ famous only thing that seem amazing.” A paean to the healing power of love isn’t complete without an R&B guest feature, and this jam boasts not one but two: 368 Music Group mainstay Raheem Devaughn and Cee-Lo protégé Eddy Fontane flank the headliner, contributing a silky-smooth chorus as well as backing vocals throughout the cut. Translee’s Occupy Greg Street tape has yet to receive a drop date, but those digging it can, of course, keep it locked for the latest news and tunes.

"Does Anybody Love" is a drastic change in sophistication from Translee's past work, both featured on our site and otherwise. I happen to love this sound - thanks in no small part to some grown and sexy production and two excellent vocal efforts from Raheem and Eddy.

This has such a 90's R&B vibe. I can appreciate that, but it's not really what I'm interested in listening to right now.

I was about to give this a lower score until I really listened to Translee's words and flow. This is some real $hit! This beat bumps and the chorus is sick too. This is a BANGER! Good work.

Awesome track, Translee had me hooked from his booth freestyle "Something You Can't Believe", and he continues to make me a believer. There is something about his voice with makes him so appealing. It's like a little bit of a southern twang or something. It's also nice to see a different side of him lyrically and stylistically. Of course Raheem was as smooth as ever.

heard the track over and over again. I gotta say not only the song itself has such a beautiful sound. translee is so right what he's rapping about. especially the part about mj. to me he was the symbol of love but most of the people and especially the media destroyed him. after his death he was celebrated again. that only shows how sick our society and media is. I'm really glad that translee shared his opinion on this beautiful song. I don't care about opinions in general. but he's absolutely right on this one. if I could change it I would rate it 5 stars this time. the song definitely deserves it!
