UPDATE: Click “Watch” above to view the brand new video for I’m On 2.0.

How do you top a record like I’m On, which saw Trae the Truth coming together with MDMA, Big Boi, Lupe Fiasco, Wale and Wiz Khalifa to craft one of the most colossal motivational records of 2011? Well, you could ride a unicycle, blindfolded, across a tightrope spanning the Grand Canyon. Fortunately the Houston rhymesayer chose the more obvious path, assembling an even bigger and (arguably) better lineup of collaborators for I’m On 2.0Cy Fyre retains the key building blocks of his original instrumental—the Return of the Mack samples, the driving breakbeat—while fortifying the arrangement with radiant piano chords and fresh synth accents. Joining the headliner over Cy’s tweaked beat are (deep breath) Big K.R.I.T., Jadakiss, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, B.o.B, Tyga, Gudda and Bun B. Mark Morrison rounds out the lineup, contributing an appropriately uplifting hook. With such an extensive and eclectic guest list, just about every hip-hop head should be able to find something to his or her liking. As for who spit the standout 16, I’ll leave it to Booth readers to decide. While I’m On 2.0 is just a promo single, those digging it can stay tuned to The DJBooth for the latest news and tunes from Trae and his illustrious collaborators.

Two complaints - the mix on Jada's guest verse was awful and they didn't need to add Gudda to a line-up that is - as a whole - several steps above his rap pay grade. Plus, Trae should have kicked off his own song instead of K.R.I.T. Otherwise, dope.

Agree with all Z said, what was Gudda on here for!?! I mean he wasn't bad but this could definetly boost his career.
I prefer the original because well it's the original.
The mix on this was a nice touch though but Jada was static.
The best rapper on this, I'll name 3.
1. J.Cole
2. Big K.R.I.T.
3. Kendrick Lamar

Overall quite solid but dont like that Mark Morrison hook, old and used up. Nice verses all round but cmon Jada what the...step it up a notch a lil basic for his lofty standards

This is one of the best remixes I have heard in a while. That being said, I think there were too many people on it, but KRIT, Kendrick, and J cole bodied it.

Loved the original and I love this remix even more. The hook is so infectious. Jada, Cole and Trill O.G did their thing.
Sidenote; Gudda Gudda held his own.

Gudda was not needed at all, but all in all, I like this 2.0 lineup more than the first one.

Im a Big K.R.I.T. UGK fan anyway so anything they do "Im on" I love it. Everyone did a great job with painting their own picture of the industry and people in general. Where is the FEMALE voice?

I like this, but the beat in the first "I'm On" was better. This beat seemed too loose. I do prefer the line up of 2.0 better. 4 stars.
