We here at DJBooth admire and appreciate the work that California kingpin Snoop Dogg has done to mend the wounds caused by the East Coast/West Coast beef back in the ‘90s.  It is for that reason, among many others, that we present the Dogfather’s new collaborative single with singer Tone BlacQ, the second off the upcoming True to the Game, a compilation album with proceeds going to the Negro League Baseball Museum.  That’s Wutz Up is a Cali-to-NY hybrid track produced by Cleo Samples, Marcus Rogers and Anthony Jordan, over which BlacQ steers clear of Chris Breezy, opting for a vocal delivery quite similar to that of Tyrese.  Ladies and gents, play ball!

Weird sounding beat but I can go wit it. Not a song I can put on my iPod but nice vocals from Tone. Snoop Dogg is average. Ok

Feeling it. Vocals are good and the production is a good match with Snoop's style.

Not an original cut but it's just my type! It's catchy, vocals are great and I also liked Snoop's verse. Production is also very good. To me this song will go in the clubs and on the radio, too...and in my mp3 player of course ;)

The production here is GREAT. No offense to either artist (especially the Legendary Snoop), but plenty of artists could sound right at home on this beat, not to mention probably take it to a higher level. Huge fan, however, of raising money for a good reason and if you LOVE baseball (as I do- go WHITESOX!), you must go to Kansas City, MO, and check out the Negro League Hall of Fame. Lots of history... and... its right next to the National Jazz Museum!
