Tommy Black - U Had What You Had
Producer: Tommy Black
Album: The Medkit
Label: Unsigned
Previously heard manning the boards on Supernatural, a summer 2011 release featuring the lyrical stylings of Ab-Soul, buzzmaking producer Tommy Black returns to our pages with another fresh leak off his forthcoming full-length. On U Had What You Had, the Nomad, Sweden beatsmith serves up a slow-rolling, bass-driven groove as Long Beach rhymesayer Pr1me (one-half of the Blues Brotherz, with Butch Cassidy) shakes his head at rappers who won’t put in the work necessary to earn respect. Digging it? This laid-back cut is just one of many bangers set to appear on Black’s The Medkit LP, scheduled for release following the arrival of side project The Nine Lives of Tommy Black.

I like the smooth Jazzy beat on here and Tommy Black's flow was smooth enough to match. I'll give this a few spins.
