Last (and first) we heard from TiRon, the Los Angeles native was comparing life ambitions with reader favorite XV. Unsurprisingly, both rappers’ To Do Lists involved chilling with beautiful women. On the first leak off his forthcoming street album (and his solo Booth debut), For Your Smile, the up-and-comer explores a similar theme over the similarly smooth, soulful boardwork of DJ Dahi – this time, though, he’s looking backwards rather than forwards, listing off everything he’s done throughout his life in hopes of getting in the good graces of various females. Even those too young to clearly remember the days of the Jheri curl or hi-top fade (myself included) should get a kick out of TiRon’s litany of trendy hairstyles, and the unique call-and-response delivery he employs on the front end of his verses is just icing on the cake. Those digging this nostalgic track are sure to relish the new material contained on TiRon’s Mustard Mixtape, scheduled to hit the ‘net sometime in March.

the mustard mixtape, are we running out of things to call our mixtapes like rock bands...whatever the beat def. caught my attention...and his flow is good...lyrics are good...reminds me of kanye first album...i might be looking foward to his mixtape after all if he called it dodo shit monkey balls vol. 1, i can relate to so many things he is saying...this would have been almost a banger if had a bad ass hook...but i can hardly hear it so...med. rotation

I hear you, DjKidd. I am hoping the title of the tape makes sense after we hear the entire body of work.

This is enjoyable. Great headphone music and a good listen throughout.

Took a minute for me to get into this one, but once I did, I was locked in. Just a really enjoyable and honest, laid back joint, the kind of track I'd bump on a sunny Sunday afternoon. (By the way, what happened to Fubu? Are they still in business?)

By the way, great call by DJKidd on the Kanye tip. At times TiRon's flow is really similar.

TiRon never lets down lyrically, I too agree w/ the comments bout the hook but the verses and production do it enough for my to give this higher than a three rating

His last release was named "Ketchup" as in catch-up, so I'm only speculating that "Mustard" is a play on words for must-heard.

The smooth production and TiRon's flow and cool lyrics are enough to put this rotation.

Overall, a good addition to this week's features. I would have liked the chorus to be more present.
