Tinie Tempah - Till I’m Gone (Remix)
Artist: Tinie Tempah
Featuring: Wiz Khalifa , Pusha T , Jim Jones
Producer: Stargate
Album: None (Promo Single)
Label: Parlophone/Capitol
Back in May, Tinie Tempah ended his much-buzzed-about current single with the prophetic line: “I’ll be doing this Till I’m Gone... but I won’t be gone for too long.” True to his word, the UK representative is “back like [he] never left” today—with a new version of the aforementioned record in tow. The single’s official remix features new bars from the headliner (Who hilariously spits, “I’m well-connected like a n*gga with a modem.”), as well as two fresh guest guest features; Clipse member-turned solo-heavyweight Pusha T brings some high-rolling street ambiance to the second verse (“Wrist looking like a treasure chest / Helipads and hella jets–we fly.”) and Dipset repper Jim Jones brings the cut home on a hedonistic note: “Crack another bottle, roll another blunt / Mami looking good, see that ass from the front.” Complete with Wiz Khalifa‘s tried-and-true hook vocals, this revamp doesn’t skimp on the guest muscle, but does more equate to better in this case? Debate away—and, if you haven’t already, schedule a trip to your local record store to pick up a copy of Tempah’s Booth-approved stateside debut, Disc-Overy.

I was surprised that the original version, which also features Wiz, didn't create more buzz for Tinie. Maybe Americans really are having a hard time getting past that UK accent?! Who knows. However, a Jim Jones guest feature decision aside, this bangs. Should help open some new ears, too.

Beat is catchy. Can't really remember the original version. Everyone on this has their own unique sound which doesn't make it sound bad. Jim Jones actually sounded decent on this too.

I didnt get why Wiz never had a verse on the original and im even more confused that he didnt have a verse on the remix... Still a nice track but I might hav rated this higher if it had a verse from Mr. Khalifa

yea i agree with Aussie, a wiz verse woulda been nice. I been living in england for years now so i'm used to the brit accent doin hip hop now and i rate Tinie. I liked the original's beat better me thinks tho. Hmm hard to say you know... i think the originals just slightly inches ahead of the remix. It's a good look for Tinie though, looks like he's the next big thing to hit the states since Dizzee, even bigger it seems.

I don't understand the idea to replace a beat that is already perfect, but anyways, nice contribution from guest artists.
