Tinie Tempah - Pass Out
Artist: Tinie Tempah
Producer: Labrinth
Album: Disc-Overy
Label: Parlophone/Capitol
Tinie Tempah... sounds like an angry dude, right? Nah – short fuse or no, it’s pretty hard to be mad at the world when you’ve got a #1 hit and opening gigs with the likes of Jay-Z and Rihanna under your belt, all at the ripe young age of 21. In any case, new single Pass Out finds the UK sensation, like many individuals of his age, less interested in throwing down than in drinking till he’s no longer cognizant. Backed by Labrinth‘s infectious Nintendo-dub boardwork, the rapper gives us the inside scoop on his “wild lifestyle,” as well as his plans to take his game to the global level. On the middle, Cali mainstay Snoop Dogg grabs the mic to spit a guest verse laced with such dope but mystifying lines as “I’m like the Beatles with needles, me and my peoples illegal, we drop fajitas for heaters, you mean fajitas to pitas?” If anyone can explain that one to me, I’ll buy them a fajita. Time for the big question: will the party-ready style that made Tinie Tempah a superstar across the pond translate to stateside success? For those who answer in the affirmative, more fresh tunes await on Disc-Overy, set to hit North American stores early next year.

Most UK artists fail to make an impact Stateside, but Tinie has a chance. His sound fits into what we hear daily on radio (like it or not), a sound BTW that was popular in Europe long before screaming girls in Cincinnati, Ohio were familiar, and the Snoop guest 16 will open some ears that otherwise would have probably remained closed.
If you don't mind Tinie's accent and the slight headache-inducing production, you'll probably enjoy "Pass Out." |

I've heard this somewhere but i'm not sure it was on the radio. I'm not sure why but i'm liking this for some reason. Maybe it's just because it's a catchy song that like Z said fits into what we're hearing alot today. Snoop works here as a guest feature but i think that Ludacris would have been better....

The beat here is absolutely sick!
Oh and the chorus vocals are courtesy of the producer himself, Labrinth. Disc-Overy has already dropped in the UK, spawning several smash hits there; I think Booth people might like his recent number-one single "Written in the Stars" with Eric Turner. @Pric3Le$$, I think you might have heard of this song because it topped the UK charts earlier this year. |

This is far from a new song... It's been in my rotation for months now... This is the exact route that Taio Cruz took... Grab a hit single in your country and then bring it stateside with an American star guest feature (remember Ludacris on 'Break Your Heart'). If you not feelin' it now, this will grow on you... "Written in the star" is even hotter, check it out

The beat got me at first. I really like it. Tinie's voice fits our radio. This is a very catchy song. And a enjoyable listen. High energy and smooth. The feature from Snoop made this song that much better. Good luck Tinie Timpah.

Honestly guys, I'm from England originally and Tinie had a hit called "Wifey" back in about 05, you should all go and check that song out, the beat is amazing!
Anyways, he proved to me a while ago how good he can be, continuing to have hits in England for a bit. I'm surprised he's been brought out in America, I feel like our worst grime artists (Dizzee Rascal for instance) always get infront of our best (Kano for definite instance) when it comes to making it in America. All in all, I havn't listened to this song yet since I figured I would just hit this up real quick to let you all know about 'Wifey'. Give our artists a chance though, the accent might be strange for you all, but try and open your mind a bit more...talent is what it's all about. |

Ok, now that I have heard it, an honest rating is that it isn't really that great of an effort by him, and his voice is a lot different. Snoop is nasty on this though. I'm sure once I hear this more I will love it more though, I think Snoop saves it.

It’s good to see Tinie cross over to the US but you have to hear frisky.

If you like this you need to check out Frisky, Miami 2 Ibiaz, and Written in The Stars. Tinie has become one of my favorite artists this year and I believe he has a very good chance to make it big in the states

idk, I wasn't impressed. I ususally like the high energy beat that gets you moving but this one was way too busy. I love Snoop but he didn't grab me either. Sorry.

Production & hook are sick, the verses are alright though not great. Snoop was a decent choice, though I would of liked to of heard Wiz Khalifa spit 16 on this track. Kanye would of also been a good choice in my eyes

This track is pretty cool. I think the hook rips but the production kinda sounds like a Nokia 5110 that won't stop ringing after a minute or so into the track. 2.5 stars...
"Miami 2 Ibiza" by Tinie Tempah and Sweedish House Mafia rips aswell if your into House/Club music. Radio stations in Australia are eating this one up... |

this was out ages ago over here, still sounds fresh. never heard this snoop version but like it. when a track sounds hard like this and the artist gives a good delivery, i dont mind the anything that ryhmes thoughtless lyrics tho tinies are good regardless. BTW its 't-e-mpah' not T-i-m' i swear it even says it on the pic haha

Tinie's other singles: Frisky (with Labrinth), Written in the Stars (with Eric Turner), Miami 2 Ibiza (with Swedish House Mafia), Invincible (with Kelly Rowland), and Wonderman (with Ellie Goulding) are absolutely awesome too.
