With Step Up Revolution set to hit the silver screen in a month and change, another single off the film’s soundtrack LP has been unleashed upon the ‘net. The follow-up to Flo Rida and J.Lo‘s Goin In, Hands in the Air finds Timbaland cooking up a suitably hype backdrop for his own party-ready rhymes, as well as guest vocals from R&B hitmaker Ne-Yo. The Step Up Revolution soundtrack is set to hit record stores and online retailers July 9, with the film’s theatrical release to follow on the 27th.

The folks who were putting together this soundtrack must have reached out to Timbo and asked for a new song. He gave them "Hands in The Air" with Ne-Yo and they gladly accepted the song. But we all know this is not new, since it sounds old, feels old, and is very mediocre for Timbaland standards.
