We all know at least one person with a tendency to get lost in the sauce, and what better way to let a friend know that he or she has a drinking problem than in song? Actually, I can think of quite a few more appropriate choices – an intervention, a simple heart-to-heart conversation – but, if you’re dead-set on taking the passive-aggressive, musical route, the next time you and said individual head out to the local spot just put in a request for Ease Off the Liquor, the latest single off Timbaland‘s Shock Value 2 LP. Here, Timbo and Morning After Dark singer SoShy rejoin forces to act out a scenario that we’ve all experienced at one time or another: he thinks she’s had too many and wants to leave the club, she insists she’s stone sober while stumbling and removing articles of clothing. Pro-moderation theme aside, Timbo’s synth-scorching boardwork should set the dancefloor ablaze wherever this record’s spun, and the unexpected shift into flamenco on the back end is just plain cool. ST2 is set to hit stores and online retailers December 8 – listen responsibly!

Major improvement from Timbo's recent work. Still not his best but pretty good.

I'd spin this at the club, that is for sure.

Sidebar: Richard, I almost fell out of my chair laughing when I read your intro to this feature. You must stop doing this to me!

Yeah, this was cool but I actually enjoyed his last two songs more than this. That being said, this beat was hot and it was an overall decent song.

Shock Value 2 is officially 0-3 in my book. It's a pretty safe bet that I won't be buying this album. Even the track with Justin was wack.

The production on this is nothing special but the chorus is especially lacking. Meanwhile, the verses are...it's not even worth mentioning.

The only reason why I was kinda intrested in this song was to hear Timbo's beat and would it be dope or not. With that being said, I wasn't blown away like I hoped but it was decent.

As for the overall song it's forgettable, hot right now then gone by next week, even though Tim and SoShy make a good pair. But then again I (and I doubt I'm alone) was only intrested in the beat.

I'm all about being original and goin against the grain... but Timbo's latest sh*t has just been straight weird... this track, the Carry Out track with JT, ... and then just peep his other features (Miley Cyrus, Nickelback, Daughtry)... i just can't believe my ears..

Timbaland wtf was that? Gay-club banger fo' sure.

I thought it was tolerable. Not sure what Timbaland is anymore, in terms of an artist. I think he'll have to spend some time in the "questionabl music" section or alternative genre(for nomenclature purposes) with former rapper Steve-O and Gwen Stefani.

I actually like the other two tracks better than this track...I second Phantom here..unless I see some major changes.. """listens to the original Shock Value and reminisces""

Timbo is back indeed. After several tracks that had be questioning if he'd lost his legendary production touch, I'm happy to hear the man's still got the golden touch. If only an auto-tuned Timberland didn't deliver the majority of the vocals it's be a smash.

And @joshL, you're right to say there's already been a lot of singles off this album (not a good sign), this track, Say Something and Morning After Dark are all official singles.

Beats decent, though still nothing to get excited about. Why hasnt Danja helped out on this album? He was the main reason for the success (production wise) of Shock Value

I love me some Timbo. Got to give it to him, he will make you move (you can't help it). That's what I love about his sh*t. Clubz will keep it bouncing with this one.
Ease off the liquor and onto the dance floor.

Man Tim is always one of my favorites, but he's been off and on the last few years. I think he peaked with the Nelly Furtado and Bubba Sparxxx albums. Just me, but I'm not feeling this at all.

If all of Timbo's vocals are auto-tuned on SVIII, I will be disappointed.

Good improvement from his other beats like "Krazy" or "Say Something".
