Forget an expensive car, or hell, even an expensive yacht, these days the ultimate status symbol is an André 3000 guest verse on your album (just ask Rick Ross). So it’s only right that rap royalty, in the form of T.I., managed to grab the ever-elusive 3 Stacks for a guest appearance on his new single, Sorry. Southern mainstay Jazzy Pha provides the instrumentation, lacing a lush beat with thoroughly Southern uptempo hi-hat that finds TIP unleashing yet more of his fearlessly dope bars. As for that 3 Stacks verse, the man continues to ignore all the boundaries of rap, switching his flow like most rappers switch t-shirts. What can I say, André‘s a legend for a reason. If this doesn’t get people talking about T.I.‘s Trouble Man: Heavy is the Head album, due out December 18, nothing will.

Do you think artists know they're going to get their sh*t murdered when they invite Andre to hop on an open verse? I think they do... and that they do not care one bit. I mean, how else could you explain this record?
Good decision to place the 3 Stacks verse at the end (you have to listen to the song all the way through to get there) and "getting your money's worth" now has a new standard, ahem...

T.I. has been rapping for such a long time that I would honestly not expect anything less than great from him at this point. Production on this was cool, but what really sold me was the hook and the verses. Refreshing to hear Andre come back on the scene and really do such a nice job.

I've missed Jazze's productions for the longest time, this whet my appetite. Andre murdered it, but that was expected. Only thing holding this back from 5 stars is the bland chorus.

The beat felt a little too much but T.I and Andre both did amazing! Their flows were great.. and I just have to say Andre's voice captures me every time. It's different and I like it. Jazzy Pha's vocals were great as well!

A thoughtful, insightful song into the minds of both T.I. and Andre. On the rap tip, Andre triumphed over Tip, as expected. I don't really have high expectations for Trouble Man, but maybe I'll be surprised.
PS if RH did an article about Ludacris falling off, perhaps they will consider T.I. for the next edition? |

Lots of respect for all the artists involved, however this would have been a 2 star rating without Andre's incredibly strong verse at the end.
Something about the way Andres flow can compliment the beat...it's almost like you are listening to a different beat when he starts rapping. |
