Had T.I.’s new single Pledge Allegiance to the Swag dropped just 48 hours ago this intro would have been completely different, but unfortunately I now have no choice but to write it in the context of Tip’s recent arrest in L.A. for drug possession (according to the L.A. Times, allegedly marijuana and ecstasy), a charge that, if convicted, could land him back in prison for years. So yeah…um…how ‘bout this Pledge Allegiance? It’s a banger, huh? Running nearly eight solid minutes, Allegiance features yet another epic J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League beat, a verse from Rick Ross that’s at the very least memorable (Monster this isn’t) and, of course, the kind of signature swag flows that T.I. helped invent, and still does better than anyone else. God I wish we were able to just focus on the music for this one, Pledge Allegiance deserves it, but T.I. and the West Hollywood sheriff’s department obviously had other ideas. It’s far too early to knows how the arrest will affect the release date of T.I.’s suddenly ironically titled King Uncaged album. You’ll just have to keep it locked for more details as they develop.

Keeping my comments strictly music based... this is a dope record. The "Swagger" angle is still stale - so wack emcees don't even get any ideas - but T.I.'s charisma and this production make you forget that.

So much for this track, going to be washed away like his career might. I was very enthusiastic about this song until I woke up and read the news.

It's sad that he might be convicted again, this is the best single this era for him, it couldh've made the album date a reality...

Man I really didnt feel his first single I got Your Back. But this song, im feeling it. Something i can bump, its hard and its simply T.I. style. Southern rappers really need to step up and bring the energy T.I. brings to the Rap game. Props to T.I. now i cant wait for King Uncaged. Watch out Eminem, T.I. Coming hard to knock you out of #1.

So can the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League make bad production for a song? Definitely one of the better street tracks from T.I. I have heard in a minute.

This is the strongest of his tracks yet... I was so hyped for the album :( Perfect trio Ross, T.I and J.U.S.T.I.C.E (who keeps murdering tracks) all did their thing. The song doesn't even feel long until the part where T.I starts talking... Dope track (4.5) - Now can T.I. please stay out of jail...

This is a cool song but nothing too special. Lets all pray for TI though. It is a shame that his career may be in jeopardy over a plant, but I have a feeling that may be in reference to his movie career more than his rap one. It's just sad that he may be locked up again during the release of an album named King Uncaged. Well caged or uncaged, Tip is still the king, until someone takes the crown...

Like I'll give T-Pain a pass for using auto tune because he essentially invented it, I give T.I. a pass for using "swag" because he defined it for the modern genre. Which is a long way of saying this is an absolute banger. Damn.
I actually like Tip's work on the intro and the outro better than the verses, the man's got the best ad-libs in the game. "I can't see you, you translucent." I can guarantee that's the first "translucent" diss in hip-hop history. |

This track goes so hard. T.I., Rick, and J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League are all so constant in the game. Though I would of prefered a different name for the song, everyone does their thing so I can give them a pass.
Also T.I.'s drug arrest is just giving more promotion for the album so for sure King Uncaged will be out this year. |

Unlike most kids my age I think swag is way played out, and I ussaly hate on any record about it. This is gonna have to be an exception.
The J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League's poductio and Ti's verses are more than enough to get me to spin this a few times. |

I am really feelin this track! J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League put together a bagin beat and T.I. just straight killed it! I agree that the term "swag" is way overdone these days, but coming from T.I. it doesn't feel cheesy or gimmicky. This is a song I will definitely be bumpin for a while!
