T.I. - No Matter What

In March of 2009, rapper T.I. will learn if his fate includes the entire one year and a day sentence that was handed to him this past March. Until then, however, the self-proclaimed “King” will be plenty busy doing his government mandated 1,000 hours of community service and promoting his next album, Paper Trail. On the first taste of the new album, No Matter What, T.I. goes the inspirational route and raps about overcoming the odds that he faced on this nearly six-minute long song. Produced by Danjahandz, No Matter What is a record with the intention of making it known “that the king lives on.” Paper Trail is tentatively scheduled for release in late summer/early fall.

I loved the production of the track off top. T.I's voice sounds like it did back on Trap Musik. Danjahandz did his thing and T.I showed some great contrast on this track. This doesn't seem like a typical single track someone would drop, which he probably won't. But I think it would make a career statement if he did...

Not bad...T.I. has fallen off slightly since his first two albums. He went from "lyrically sick" to okay in my opinion. He used to snap like he did on songs like "Motivation" and "Stand up". Now he just rides the beat and doesn't screw up. The beat was okay and the lyrics were alright but the song was nothing special. I wouldn't play this song more than two times tops!

ti is such an inspirational rapper. Instead of goin the mandated way that rappers normally go ti has taken the high road.On the album he makes songs that reflect that he knows what he did was wrong and how his decisions impact the lives of his family. And to me clifford harris aka ti bka the king is a real stand up guy.In this song he still has that swagger that makes him ti but changes it up. I would love if he made more songs like this. I think that Paper trail was his best album and perhaps him gettin in trounle with the law well rather the feds was the best thing for him.This isnt a publicity stunt for him on the album he said that he feels that he had felt like he had to do what he did.
