It has all the elements for success; T.I. is doing the way he should, Rihanna is just on straight fire, the beat is absolutely catchy & hot, and it has loads of commercial appeal. When I heard this song a while ago, the numa numa sample intro had me rather worried. But the way Rihanna infused it into her style just worked for her. And absolutely this track should have been selected as the first single. It was well received at the MTVVA's, having Rihanna on your track instantly jumps it up on the hotness scale, and this track completely eclipses 'Whatever You Like'.

This would have provided a nice balance of hype-ness and seductiveness enabling him to equally hit dudes and chicks. Also, when you get to many hype songs back to back, you lose the force b/c one song overshadows the other (same thing with too mellow songs). Whatever U Like is the best T.I. song ive heard so far on Paper Trail (Which will be a hot album). this is alright and should go alright in the US & more then likely will get some airplay in Australia (which is accomplishment for any rapper in my eyes as not much to no hip hop gets played in Australia). But Whatever U Like is definitely the better out of the 2 songs (I like the idea of the feedback question by the way Z).

Rating:          Mike Dreams's Top Rated Songs HOW DID I MISS WHEN THIS WAS FEATURED? I just finished the entire "Paper Trail" a few days ago, and this has been in HEAVY ROTATION in my IPOD. Here's a snippet from my full review of the album regarding this song: The track began with the presentation of an interesting sample used for the beat. Rihanna served the hook very nicely and the added background exclamations really set it off. It definitely had an “anthem” feel to it. The production was definitely catchy and had me bobbing my head back and forth. The beat and flow reminded me of a faster paced version of T.I’s style on his debut single “No Matter What”. T.I. basically discussed that his previous promotion of the “gangsta” life deserved a break. He’s grown up as a person and has began to value life more. He broke down what hip hop was all about and downplayed how most artists are on childish games involving beef and the glorification of material gain. Overall, the song is classic status. 5/5 stars for this joint.
