With their recent solo albums, Scale-A-Ton and Hustle Till I Die, DJ Paul and Juicy J both returned to the underground sound that made the Three 6 Mafia famous. So, fans can expect the group to take a similarly hardcore approach on their forthcoming Laws of Power LP, right? Wrong! Likely inspired by the success of Lolli Lolli (Pop That Body), Three 6 have elected to pack the LP with club bangers, club bangers, and more club bangers! One such jam, Shake My, finds Paul and Juicy spitting fast-paced verses over Rodney Jerkins’ house samples (Never thought you’d hear the Six over a Darkchild beat, eh?). Complete with an upbeat hook by Bad Boy signee Kalenna, Shake My may receive hate from hardcore heads, but you can bet those same individuals will be dancing in their seats when it comes on the car radio.

Just like "Lolli", I couldn't listen to this on my mp3 player or on a computer, but if this comes on in the club then it might be a problem! Still prefer the Three 6 that doesn't cater to the mainstream, but I'm not mad at this.

three 6 mafia got a song with keri hilson and gucci mane called medicine.... THAT is a 5 star track. from the get go. this.. is NOT. theyre tryin too hard on this one.. the next single shud be medicine! lol

This is going to be huge in the clubs.
On computer speakers, this dosnt sound real flash, though in a good car sound system this sounds pretty sweat. The production is good, the hook is definitely made for the clubs & the verses from 3-6 are good (though who listens to the verses in the club?) |

Yeah this should be a PROBLEM in the clubs. Not really too much else to say here. Hook was catchy and I always love Three 6 on these club beats.

I've known Juicy J for several years and I find it VERY hard to believe that the guys would actually WANT to go in this direction with their music. However, as Burmy pointed out, it might simply be a matter of seeing success with LOLLI and wanting to duplicate (over and over and over again). This works, but I am not a personal fan.

I definitely think is Three 6 Mafia's style. Darkchild did well with the club production, and the hook is certainly bumpin. The verses aren't bad, and the track is a solid club joint.

I really like this song. I am a huge Three 6 Mafia fan. I wish Pitbull had more of a part in the song, but he did great for the 3 seconds he had lol. The chorus gets annoying after awhile though. Apart from the chorus, everyone killed it.
I'm gonna give this one 4.5 stars, and round it up. The song is just too catchy to not. |
