Ever since the Down South classic Sippin’ On Some Sizzurp, Three 6 Mafia and UGK have maintained close business ties. That relationship was put to good use as it harbored one of this year’s biggest singles, International Player’s Anthem. In fact, just before Pimp C’s untimely death, UGK was in the studio with DJ Paul & Juicy J to work on some new tracks for Three 6’s upcoming Last 2 Walk album. The first new leak between the Kings of Memphis and the Kings of the Trill is On Sum Chrome, a perfect single to bump at maximum volume out your trunk speakers. Although Paul and Juice selected a rather unusual song to sample (Carol of the Bells), the bass-heavy On Sum Chrome will leave fans anticipating Last 2 Walk until it drops in April.
This album has been pushed back so many times it might be the Last Album To Drop. Regardless, this is what Down South Hip Hop needs to sound more like.
This goes hard right here. This is hot fight music right here. I don't know why, but I am really feeling Three-6-mafia's work lately. They do good sh*t!
