Since the release of Lolli Lolli (Pop That Body) finally got their long-delayed Last 2 Walk on store shelves, Three 6 Mafia has wasted no time rolling out a follow-up single. Although some listeners might recall an earlier version of the Akon-assisted That’s Right from one of DJ Smallz‘s mixtapes last summer, the Memphis duo has made several changes for the street anthem’s inclusion on their new album. As DJ Paul and Akon set the ”f**k you, pay me” mood, Juicy J recycles his verse from one of the album’s buzz singles (Whatcha Starin’ At). More importantly, however, Paul and Juice bring out their typical whip-banger production. So, next time you’re in traffic, don’t be surprised if you hear That’s Right from the car ahead of you… playing at the maximum legal volume.
I give it a 3.5. It could've been a 4 but I wasn't overly impressed by DJ Paul and Juicy J on this one. Akon is what makes this song as hot as it is, providing the kind of hook that got him popular, reminiscent of "Soul Survivor." If you liked that song, you'll probably like this song as well.
I'm going to give this a 4 star salute for Akon and the beat cus I didn't expect much out of Dj Paul or Juicy J on the mic cus they aint ever been that big of lyricist. But they is known for their production and this one was done nice.
Never a fan of Three Six Mafia a.k.a The Satanists. This is wack, as usual. I still like their producing skills (note "International Players Anthem" by UGK featuring Outkast & "Stay Together" by Ludacris
This jus gets me ready for Akons album. I dont like this song although it's a perfect choice for a 3rd single to continue their buzz on radio. Chorus is sick thats about it.
This is not a bad song. I have always enjoyed three 6 mafia and this is solid. Akon helped out quite a bit and after numerous collaborations with almost everyone, i am looking forward to his next album!
since three 6 mafia found the "rockstar" in them, and worse still after the "hollyhood" experience...they've been gayer than elton john's draws! akon was the shinning and lone star...
i love akons part but im still iffy bout three 6 mofias part ... like akon always kills n make beats hotter ... its sad to say but niggas that songs stink get akon to make them better n he usually can im not to sure bout this one it would have better if it was akon and someone else's flow like i said akons part id listen to over n over again but three six messes up the song i think
Good production on this track. Akon puts in a solid hook on this one. DJ Paul always sounds so good with that bangin' bass in the backround. Juicy J is solid on here too.
Sounds like a remix of "Never Forget Me". Akon must have recommended that they should sample that track. I bet you he did. Akon, props revoked. 2 Stars only because Three 6 still did their thing on some crappy song (recycled beat, recycled chorus).
ooooooowwwwweeeeeeeeee
beat and flow from dj paul and juicy j is fuckin sick! akon does his iconic hooks well! this is definitely a rewind track for me!
fuck u pay me!
