On this new, unreleased cut, Theophilus London addresses the one activity that elicits more Oohs & Ahhs than a Fourth of July fireworks show—if you haven’t already guessed, I’m talking about lovemaking.  This record is far from your average sex jam, though; for one thing, the Brooklyn emcee sounds like he’s actually getting it on while rapping.  Producer Leatherette‘s smoldering blend of ambient synths and sampled moans, along with frequent collaborator Jesse Boykins III‘s steamy “take you for a ride” hook combine with London’s breathless vocals to create a sexy but weirdly voyeuristic listening experience.  In any case, the creativity all three bring to Oohs & Ahhs is undeniable, and there’s no reason the cut shouldn’t continue the streak of positive reviews London started with Cold Pillow (also featuring Boykins).  If you like what you hear, check back with us next month for the up-and-comer’s contribution to our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series.

At first listen you might think Theophilus London is just another hipster backpack rap aficionado. In reality, he always comes through with his own creative direction and "Oohs & Ahhs" is an example of that. He isn't trying to wow you lyrically, he's trying to wow you musically.

when this first started. im like damn this chill! i was ready to call it a banger... till he starts "rappin", he wasnt even really goin with the music, and he's all choppy on top of it.

2nd verse is a bit better, but still this song has banger-potential, but not as is.

This aint too bad. Not better than OK either. Yea, the flow is a lil choppy, which was probly intentional, but it jus sounds wierd. production is just alright, same as the hook.

I like this beat for the most part ... The chopped & screwed style in his flow is creative but it doesnt work for the song ... not good than their last venture ...

I don't think he was Richard, but kudos to Theophilus AND Jesse if they got their freak on while creating this record. I respect both artists immensely for their creativity and grind... this is in rotation.

I really like the vocals and the mood of the song, it's really artistic. The only thing I'd cut is the sound in the background like a spaceship hoovering or somethin, it's not good on the ears. Overall interesting song.
Props on the title! ;)

I am not feeling this at all. The production just does not sound good on my ears, like "FredRico" said. The verses were OK as well as the hook. I just wasn't impressed.

The chopped and screwed is interesting but it ruins the lyrics to me. The hook is pretty good..this is decent mainly b/c of the weird production probably

I didn't like this at first but after a minute I started to feel it. I'm digging the production as well.

I think this song is sexy, I like the way he sings. But the production has no point, I can't understand it, musically talking! OK

The song instantly has a sexy/seductive vibe to it. To me it sounds like he's speaking poetry. Its quite interesting and unique. It's def different from any other song I've heard. It sounds like something that's played at open mic in a lounge or something. Uhhh....I don't know where to go with this song from a creative standpoint I'm feeling it...but as a listener its not something I'd really listen to again.
