Theo Martins - Electric Boom ft. Foals
Artist: Theo Martins
Featuring: Focus...
Producer: Santo Angelo
Album: Channel Surfin' (Channel 5)
Label: Unsigned
Thus far, we’ve heard four channels on Theo‘s Channel Surfin’ series; some have sounded epic (see Jurassic Harlem), while others were more laid-back (see Won’t Do). For Channel 5, Theo has decided to remix another artist’s song, using the electro-pop sound of the UK’s Foals’ Electric Boom. Knowing it was time to amp up the energy, Theo complements producer Santo Angelo‘s beat with some creatively up-tempo rhymes, at one point comparing himself to NBA Commissioner David Stern. In addition to keeping Theo’s longtime fans satisfied, this unintended collaboration could help Foals generate a brand new stateside fanbase. Check back in around December 15 to see what he has in store on Channel 6.

Song was banging hard until 1:16 came and dragged on to 2:16 an picked right back up to the feeling I had at the beginning. Good song, but that middle of the song was not needed lol.

I agree...the beginning was hot. He reminded me of Pharrell on that part. But I agree, what was all that boring retardation in the middle of the song. Totally uncalled for. I'm starting to think unless you aren't K.Sparks...you're not coming with hot tracks every week for your series and start running out of ideas and putting out B.S like this sometime. When he came back in, it was straight..but by then, it was like...WTFlip happened. Off button.

Let's reiterate something: this is a Foals joint. Theo reached out to them and asked to jump on the top and back end. Theo did NOT have anything to do with the beat, singing style, or ambiance.
Theo, who is my guy, gets a 2 for only jumping on two verses... BUT... this song is so damn hot that the overall result is solid. I'll bump it up. |

This isn't bad but it's a lil too techno I guess. For this reason it could become famous in Italy, but I hate techno music :( I'm here not to hear it lol! Of course this is better than any other simple techno song...I like how he sings! I think it will go in the clubs
