Buzz-worthy emcee Theo admits that he’s not the man from The Cosby Show, but he does have clothes from that era. After referring to additional throwbacks on his DJ Booth Underground charting hit, Sweetest Language, Theo knows he’s got to do him. That’s why he advises everyone to Keep Doing Your Thing. Over a Kris Fame beat, complete with eerie synths and sly shakers, Theo’s rhymes make clear that success is elusive and rappers need to keep at their craft in order to reach the pinnacle of the rap game. Longtime grinder-emcee Skyzoo joins in and also incites other artists to work as hard as they can to get to the cash. Listen for more deep rhymes from Theo’s disc, The Birth, which dropped last week, to make an appearance on the Booth.
Production is full. Theo does cool on this. I haven't been impressed with Skyzoo as of yet. I don't really see what the fuss is about with this cat. I may be missin it in this case. I'd play this though.
Please observe again how a certain person doesn't even rate the song, but instead references a picture. I agree BDF44...I haven't caught on to why Skyzoo is such a big deal either. I guess different strokes for different folks. This is a decent track though...it's all good. I like Theo on some smoother, soulful joints like his last single. I'll throw this in rotation . Much love to people leaving actual details in your ratings! Just like the chorus on this song "keep doin ya thang!"
Skyzoo is a DJBooth regular, so you gotta be on his side for riding with us. His flow is tight, his voice is a little off on the chorus but its still a solid track with a head nod swagger, and Theo makes his featured spot worth it.
The beat is good, rather club-oriented. Maybe on the radio or in a club I would gladly listen to this, but not in my mp3 player, I'm not feeling very much Theo. In rotation!
401 401 401 STAND UP!!!! This is probably the worst track off of his mixtape haha. The Birth- listen to it and be amazed. Providence finally getting some respect
