Having cracked his first case, The Curse of the Green Faceded, wide open, Thee Tom Hardy is preparing to delve into The Secret of thee Green Magic on mixtape number two. As you might expect, the inaugural leak off the project raises many more questions than it answers. For example, why is the North Carolina up-and-comer so damned Fresh & Fly? Where did producers 9th Wonder and Khrysis, here credited as duo 9thmatic, pick up the mic skills they showcase in their laid-back guest verses? And what is the origin of the mysterious Chipmunk-pitched sample that forms the centerpiece of Vitamin D‘s smooth, string-drenched instrumental (seriously, I couldn’t figure it out)? Though the solutions to these and the countless other perplexities this cut raises remain elusive, F&F‘s appeal is no enigma – those who appreciated the tuneful beats and oddball rhymes of Hardy’s past features will doubtless find his latest effort equally enjoyable. If you’re hungry for answers, keep it locked to the Booth for further information on The Hardy Boy Mystery Mixtape: Secret of thee Green Magic, set to drop sometime this spring.

This is one of those "throw on the head phones, turn the lights down, and just vibe" tracks. I personally would have rather heard Tom spit two full verses, but I wasn't consulted before they wrapped production on the track haha.

Is not too far from rotation for me, but it sure comes pretty damn close. Plus love the Uncle Ruckus" reference, that show is hilarious!

With 9th and Khrysis involved you knew the beat was going to be smooth as hell, but I have to be honest, the rhymes didn't blow me away. They're just...good. I've gonna have to average it out to three stars.

It's ok but any 9th Wonder beat any emcee can make it listenable.
