Playing racquetball at your local YMCA may be a great way to squeeze a workout into your busy schedule, but the sport doesn’t seem like particularly inspiring subject matter for a rap song.  Experimental hip hop duo The Silverust, however, have found the conveniently-rhyming simile that allows them to connect the game to the always-popular topic of getting high.  On their new buzz single, the duo indulge in a strain of smokable so potent that it has them bouncing “off the wall like, “ you guessed it: “Racquetball.”  This record isn’t your typical smokers’ anthem, thanks in large part to Kid Icarus‘s creative beat, which begins with a subtle, bass-driven groove, but veers off into acoustic guitar territory on the chorus before adding a jazzy vibraphone accompaniment on the cut’s back end.  Emcee Nickelus F. begins the record in stoned wonderment, but switches up his flow to follow Icarus’s every production curveball, and the result is a uniquely catchy record with plenty of appeal for heads on the hipster side of the spectrum.

This is pretty hot....they made this beat on GarageBand by the way. LOL. It's still hot though. It's that old school feel and some might not dig it. I wouldn't mind listening to it in the background while doing something. Nickelus F. always brings it everytime he spit...that's why he made this vibe work...cuz his flow in interesting.

We here at the Booth LOVE left field music... which means that your stuff doesn't sound like a carbon copy of FILL IN THE BLANK's new record. Props to Silver Rust!

The beat is weird but I like it, I think the production is kinda innovative. His flow is really good! I don't like when the song changes, that's to say when the beat gets slower and he says racquetball for 3-4 times, it gets really repetitive. In the last part of the song the background music is excellent but I don't like him. I should listen to this again, it's hard to understand how a song is when it changes more times
