If you’d like to hear a few good vibrations bleed through your speakers, meet Chicago power duo The Primeridian. Over this West meets East musical smorgasbord, Jaime Roundtree and Simeon Viltz, aka Tree The Scarecrow and See-Me-On, wax poetic on the sonically serene Take You. With musical inspirations that range from house and acid jazz to blues and R&B, Primeridian takes a funky approach with help from The Pharcyde’s Imani, Iomos Marad and Yaw. These Hyde Park enthusiasts represent the soul of the Chi and on their forthcoming album, Da Mornin’ After, they aim to bring listeners inspiration in the midst of the Billboard ringtone chart monotony.
