You may recall The Palmer Squares first Booth feature, Spooky Language, which graced our homepage this past May. The only thing spooky about the dynamic duo, however, is the disappearing act they pulled after introducing their unique style to our audience.  The very thought of Booth readers missing out on excellent wordplay and heaps of charisma sends shivers up the collective spine of our staff. Thankfully, the Chicago emcees are back with Rahdahdah, the latest single off their Square Tactics EP. Rahdahdah features a slow, stuttering beat from D.R.O, over which the twosome delivers their trademark sound; clever, colorful lines delivered with a left of center, approachable flow. Dig this? Be sure to check out Square Tactics EP and book your tickets to Austin for March, as Palmer Squares are set to make their first appearance at SXSW this year.

I like the simple flow by The Palmer Squares. Cool chorus and a nice simple beat by D.R.O. matches the vibe nicely.

I like the bounce. The song is obviously super dumbed down, but I think they have fun with it in a very self-deprecating manner.

Much less complex rhyme schemes then these linguistic wizards usually use, but it works. And it works well.

One of their best tracks off of the new ep "Square Tactics." It's just a feel good song with a catchy chorus line and a beat you can head bop to.
They also have an other song on the ep featuring the LA based rapper Wax, "Bag It Up," that will become the pot heads' anthem.

extremely simple which makes it mega chill. Yet, the lyrics make it slightly complex. I love it.

I've always found that the Palmer Squares had great flow, sick beats and the lyrics are insane.

Besides being The Palmer Squares' catchiest release thus far, the rhyme schemes they offer are still as complex as ever. Term K smoothly delivers a 7 syllable scheme for a couple bars here: "The porn watcher with his door locked, the war monger with the corn popped, the floor mopper with a porkchop, poor posture, and a warm pop" Ludicrous but still very technical, such are The Palmer Squares.
