Like its predecessors, How Many and project title track Timeless Classic, Street Legend finds the South Africa-based producer blending hip-hop’s past and present with an aim to create something for the ages. Over the headliner’s boom-bap grooves and dreamy soul loops, Jersey born-and-raised rhymesayer Mo the General chronicles his quest to win money, power and respect on the block. DJ Xrated of The Snowgoons injects some extra old-school ambiance on the chorus, interweaving snippets of classic cuts by Mobb Deep, Biggie and other rap icons. Like what you’re hearing?
