The Majors - Worst Way
Producer: Eddie G and The Professor [of Mach 1 Music]
Album: Novus Tempus
Label: First Rounders Ent. (Independant)
As neighbors growing up in Oxnard, California, Dunn and Lazo turned to hip-hop as an alternative to the street life. This past April, a decade after they first linked up, the duo, known collectively as The Majors, finally dropped their official debut album. Though Wassup Wit It was chosen as the twosome’s debut single, the track that’s really turning heads (and that finally caught the Booth’s attention) is the follow-up, on which Dunn and Lazo pay tribute to a woman they love in the Worst Way. The highlight of this track comes courtesy of Damon Reel, who delivers grown-sounding hook and background vocals over Eddie G & The Professor‘s synth-heavy beat. Already getting rotation as far east as Wichita and set to expand even farther, Worst Way has all the makings of a late-summer hit. Those who like what they hear can find more pop-appealing jams on Novus Tempus (Latin for new time), available now in stores and online.

I'd be lyin if I said I wasn't feelin this. The production is good night music, the hook is catchy, and the raps didn't take away from any of it. My only gripe is that damn auto tune which is not needed can Damon can sing. This was a banger.

The rapping needs work, but on the whole this is a catchy, poppy, radio-ready hit. Rotating...

This is cool, but like Z said the flows and rhymes need some work. It's kinda funny cuz their from CA but they have flows very close to soooo many artists comin out of Texas (at least on the first verse.) The beat and hook were pretty catchy, but you gotta give me a little more than that.
No hate on the Majors for grindin in the booth instead of on the street; I can see me gettin into their music when their sound is a little more polished. |

Agree with Jaunito and Z. Verses were the low point, but the other elements of the song are nice.
