They say there’s strength in numbers, and if that’s true than Austin, TX octet The League of Extraordinary Gz are Samson, when he still had his hair. For those not up on their Biblical references, that means crazy f**king strong. Following the release of their Booth debut Monster, the Gentlemen are back with Yes He Is. Making its worldwide premiere right here, right now, Yes He Is owes its addictive appeal first and foremost to Matt Schad’s minimalistic but catchy beat - if you can place that sample I’ll be impressed. But dope beats are incomplete with dope rhymes so Gz members Esbe, S. Dot and Tuk-da-Gat take turns going in with flowing, quick fire rhymes that also somehow manage to reference both The Terminator, Serena Williams and Ray Charles, who might not be all that different if you think about it. If you’re heads not nodding to this one, you may not have a spine. Those finding their trigger fingers growing itchy while listening to this Southern rider should be to cop The League’s Concealed Weapons 3 mixtape, dropping tomorrow, May 12, right here on DJBooth.

They are not Wu Tang or even Slaughterhouse, but as dynamic hip hop ensembles go LOEGz are impressive. Super catchy record here, but that doesn't compromise the rap element of the song.

They are NOT Wu Tang (or Dungeon Family for that matter) they are THE LEAGUE. Song is a banger in my book. Dope sample and these guys can actually spit. Curious to hear how the whole project sounds. Expecattions are high
