The Indigos may be a hard group to put a label on, they insist they’re not just a musical group, they’re a lifestyle, and two of their members include world-class dancers and choreographers, but This Is America, and in America breaking the rules is a way of life. While their mission extends far beyond the reaches of your headphones, today they’re confined to the sonic realm with the premiere of new single, the aforementioned This Is America. Produced by Indigos founder Hardy, America rides on a kinetic and bouncing beat that in the hands of most rappers would have become a club banger, but emcees and twin brothers Giftt and Justt (who’s no stranger to our pages) flip the track into a starkly political and revolutionary call to arms: “Land of the free, well they must be talkin somewhere else / laws do apply, but not to those with substantial wealth.’” Think of it like if Pitbull and dead prez decided to collab. With a beginning like this it’s impossible to predict what The Indigos upcoming project, Protoype A will sound like. You’ll just have to keep it locked to find out.

Sorry Indigos. Not for me. I was kinda lost in the random political, religious, thugged out, homosexual, club, money, military, cars, and drug references. I listened to it and was like "What just happened here?" You definitely have alot to say, so I'll give guys the benefit of the doubt, and give you another go on your next feature.

I don't hate it, but I also don't like or love it. I know (at least I think) what they were trying to do on this record. The attempt gets a B+, but the execution is scattered, slightly annoying, and not repeat worthy.

The production is ok, but is still the best part of this song. The flows don't really have any consistency and the song is kind of all over the place. It's different, but not really in a good way.
