A true emcee is a real piece of work. “How noble in mission, how infinite in creativity, in lyrics and swagger, how express and admirable.” The preceding quote, that Hamlet said with irony, I now adapt with pure conviction, as today an underground rapper by the name of The Incomparable Shakespeare brings his New York Swagger to the Booth. Continuing in the tradition of fellow borough-bred lyricists like Biggie, Jay-Z, Papoose, and Maino (sounding most like the latter), Shakes obviously loves being from the Big Apple, though he’s “not trying to bring New York Back/just personality back to New York rap.” Those who love the old-school should be happy about The Protractorz’ beat, which brings some new life to a stale topic. To cop, or not to cop? That should be an easy question for fans to answer, once The Incredible Shakespeare’s debut album, Shakespearean Premier, is released.
naw, thiz iz probably the worst track ive heard on tha booth today...i dont lyk n-e-thing bout thiz track....beat isnt gud @ all...and i dont lyk hiz flow...so for me thiz track iz also an x-ample of a garbgae track.
Stubbornness, thy screenname is WOW:)! I like this one-is certainly is a Banger! All who hate and say it be "garbage," get thee to a nursery rap station.
wow m. burnmy...i seriously dont understand that wheneva i rate a track a rating that u dont like....u put ma name in yo commentz...can u stop cuz ur part of tha reason i alwayz get hated on. yeah thanx.
There’s good production coming from everywhere these days…! You’d expect Jay-Z to get this kind of beat. The subject is not fresh but he doesn’t ruin the beat though. Good enough to be in rotation.
This production work is enough worthy of a listen without lyrics. My mans Shake, however, does a great job of not trying to do too much over the beat, while giving the listener more than enough to determine he has skills. I am excited to hear more based on this record. Thoughts?
Thanks M. Burmy for hooking us up with a nice banger. I'm really enjoying this track, on my third listen, and I'm looking forward to a next release by The Incomparable Shakespeare
This production is pretty hot! It wasn't as exciting as I thought it could be though, but a solid joint overall. To M. Burmy's response to WOW , to thee I said foshizzle. Twas very appropriate.
I'm with Mrmag. The production isn't that great to my inexperienced ears. The beat is really good but I'm not feeling the music, it's repetitive. His flow is cool, I love rappers with a flow like his! Considering that this isn't my type of song and only hip hop "veterans" would fully appreciate it, I'd put it in rotation
Well thanks for putting the song up. Its definitely appreciated. I'm not mad if people don't like it; we're all entitled to our opinions. People that have been following my bi-weekly mixtape releases know what I'm about. Either way, for those that do rock rock with it, thank you. 1
