Feeling burdened by life’s cares? Then kick back for a minute and listen to Weightless (Alamar), the latest leak off The ILLZ’ next street album. Fragile State handles productoin duties, serving up a breezy jazz beat (complete with with an outro sampled from Fink’s Sort of Revolution (Cinematic Orchestra Remix)) to back the Jersey repper as he sits on the beach, allowing his own worries to fade into insignificance. The Darkest Hour still lacks a release date, but listeners are encouraged to request an advance copy via the artist’s official site.

I respect The ILLZ because the man truly takes his time with crafting each and every record he lets loose. Everything about this was great including the production which makes this replay worthy all by itself. Some of the lyrics that the ILLZ crafts up are spectacular and combined with the production make him a real force to be reckoned with in the music industry. Really hope he blows up so more people can get a glimpse of what good music really sounds like.

The ILLZ is the reason I started using DjBooth as my main hip hop source. Bringing those real underground tracks on the daily. Gotta love it. Enough said. Can't wait for the Darkest Hour. Keep bringing it ILLZ!
