Once a regular on our pages, The ILLZ has been relatively scarce lately, not dropping by with a new solo feature since June’s In Between Us (Remix). Today, the Jersey rhymesayer returns with Despiertate (Awake), a moody jam which finds him reflecting on his hustle over an downbeat, sampled groove by Lost Balance. The Darkest Hour has yet to receive a solid drop date (It’s set to hit the ‘net “soon”) but Booth readers can request an advance copy via the artist’s official site.

 I didn't appreciate the production as much until The illz ripped it. The beat makes more sense with him rapping on it. This has a good groove to it. I'll throw it into rotation. Good flow.

I think is a really good song something you can listen and relax to especially for those who have to go through the daily stress of life. Hope more people give the homie some props he's a hidden gem in a pile of misguided "rappers" definitely an artist in my eyes.

The Illz is unique, definitely someone capable of changing hip-hop. Incredibly creative and talented, every track make me connect with him in someway. I just love this song and I think we all try to dream while we are wide awake. Keep making music from the heart!
