In the three short days since news of Michael Jackson‘s untimely passing shocked fans across the globe, just about everything that could be said about the icon’s life, career and legacy has been said; to make a long story short, the man influenced everyone, from all the kids who attempted (quite unsuccessfully, in my case) to moonwalk in their parents’ basements to every pop musician who hit the scene after him. The Game, of course, is no exception, and on newly-released tribute record Better On The Other Side (premiered by DJ Skee on Friday morning), the L.A.X. emcee joins forces with a few of the biggest names in urban music to explain just how much MJ meant to him. R&B singer Chris Brown, Bad Boy mogul Diddy, and high-profile producer Polow Da Don each step up to the mic to pay homage to the legend over DJ Khalil‘s somber piano chords, and sampled contributions from Mario Winans, Usher, and Boyz II Men serve as further reminders of the singer’s far-reaching impact. It’s sincere, touching, and liable to leave MJ devotees a little teary-eyed—if you’re having trouble shaking off those blues, may I recommend this?

The production is good from Khalil & The Game paints a very descriptive picture with his lyrics. The hook from Chris Brown was also pretty moving considering his career is shaping up to be similar (Im not saying he's the next MJ) to the King Of Pop. |

The Game is a very sincere dude.
This track was off the chains and it's only right that Chris Brown was included in this. We all know he is a newer generation reflection of MJ. Bump all the B.S and commentary. I still haven't seen Chris included on the BET Awards and MJ tribute. :( |

Wanna know how powerful this was?
I was very critical of Chris Brown until I heard the chorus. Then I realized he’s still the youngest, closest artist we have to Michael Jackson, and like him, he’s just a troubled person, but a great entertainer nonetheless. The Game did an amazing job comin up with heartfelt lyrics in a moment like this. The beat is moving as much as it comforts. Like Z, I'm really thankful they used such beautiful music to honor MJ. Game is one of my favorite rappers right now!! He always comes with dope lyrics and this is a big plus for him with the real good heartfelt lyrics!! We all know what Chris has done but people make mistakes and i know he regrets what he did and NONE OF US are perfect so when i hear people judging him i always remember.... "he who is without sin, let him cast the first stone". Chris did an amazing job on that hook and i'm looking forward to his new album!! |

AMAZING SONG by amazing artists for the best entertainer the world will ever see!! You can feel the emotion in their voices... RIP MJ. Retarded as this may sound... Chris Brown is one lucky bastard! You better not mess up this time Chris boy! ease your way back in Cos I need that GRAFFITTI... NO ONE out is more Michael Jackson-esque than Chris Brown. I understand the events surrounding Chris Brown as of late but the influence/affect that MJ has had on him I feel that he is the best person to pay a tribute from the MUSIC/ENTERTAINMENT perspective. |

This is a classic. I listened to the song following the lyrics. They are really touching. The music is wonderful and the artists sing and flow perfectly, with strong feelings towards their "hero" who's dead. Excellent tribute guys!

It will be a banger simply because of who the song goes out to. When it comes to the production it was done well.
As for the impact as a classic, I don't give it that. I don't foresee this setting records and history as did Puffy when he released "I'll be missing you" but it will get respect. |

I'm a loyal Michael Jackson fan and i was so hurt by his passing. Just when he was about to give us more he was taken away. :-s I shed many tears and was upset that he's gone, but i have seen how he has affected many other people and now that i've heard this song i know that he's okay and is in a hell of a lot better place than this world that caused him great pain. I gotta quit being selfish. I got my chances to see michael perform and entertain here on earth. Now i have to let him entertain the angels and God in heaven. . . .God i'ma miss him. There'll be no other like him. . . .

It is finally starting to set in with me that he is gone. This is the first time I am listening to this track and it is INCREDIBLE. He was the GREATEST of all time with music, and an even BETTER Person! He brought us all together with his love and He is and will be EXTREMELY MISSED! He is being celebrated today on just about every channel on TV and he will finally be able to Rest in Peace. God called him back home because he needs him more than us right now, and he went way above and beyond what any human could ever even dream of. We love you MJ!
