Since stepping into our DJBooth for an exclusive interview this past June, The Game has released two new singles (Dope Boys and My Life), recorded a remix to his lead single, Game’s Pain, and inconsequently has seen his new album, L.A.X., get pushed back twice by Interscope. While the project’s current release of August 26 seems to be sticking, fans are fiendin’ for the rapper’s third studio album. Luckily, we have something to help tide you over for a few more weeks. Camera Phone, produced by Cool & Dre, is a leftover track that our friends at Black Wall Street have provided. With the help of guest singer Ne-Yo, Game recalls several circumstances under which he has allowed a female to click a pic while out on the road. Though this “thug and gentlemen” collaboration didn’t make the cut, their Gentleman’s Affair record will be on L.A.X..
Note: The streaming of “Camera Phone” has temporarily been suspended.
Definitely not the best Game song I've heard. I'm a pretty big Game fan but I'm not feelin' this. Production is boring. Ne-Yo has a decent hook. The Game isn't great on here. It is a pretty boring song in my opinion.
Yeah, this song gets boring real quick. This song is sorta weird because neither Game or Ne-Yo ever takes control at all, they both just keep alternating. Ne-Yo's hook is pretty average, and Game doesn't do enough work on the verses. Basically one of the most disappointing songs simply because these two artists together should have done a lot more on a track than this.
This is just a throaway track. Nothin special here and none of them bring their best. With 2 artists with the talent that they have, i would expect more
I think this would have fit in pretty good on the album. Good mainstream track, and i like the combo of Game and Ne-Yo who are both at their peaks right now. Production from Cool and Dre is hot and the chorus is good too. Better than your average, 3/5
I'm a huge Game fan, but I don't really think this track is anything special. At first I didn't like this song at all, but I think this one's definately going to grow on me.
BEAT WAS REAL NICE FROM COOL AND DRE,GOTTA ADMIT LADIES SONGS ARE NEYOS SPECIALTY NOT THE GAMES AND IT SHOWED ON HERE GAME DID WELL FOR THE MOST OF IT BUT REALLY THIS WAS A NEYO SONG..
I wasn't feelin Game's lyrics on this at all, its all cliche and sounds half assed. Ne-Yo does aight, but this track could have been a lot better. The beat has some nice drums and I really liked that synth effect from Cool & Dre. Decent.
Not a comfort zone for Game. But you can't go too wrong with Ne-Yo on the production and hook. He made it his own in my opinion. This has hit potential. I'd play it.
I'm glad this didn't make L.A.X. Out of every recent Game song I've heard, this doesn't go in the category. All the singles (maybe for the exception of Dope Boys) that I've heard from L.A.X is flame diggity. This is not really that great. He was rapping like Bow Wow on Face/Off on this joint for some reason. LOL. That's what it reminded me of. I'll throw this in rotation because it's Game and Ne-Yo, but I certainly hope nothing like this makes L.A.X because I am expecting that to be a flame classic album.
the beat is not that good. its boring or not live enough or something. thats the only thing holding this track back from being at its full potential. too bad the beat is one of the most important parts of a song. 2 stars
This is average... for a single. Not to great. If this track was left off the album, then the rest that made the cut must be real dope! (The tracks that I've heard havent disapointed) Bring on L.A.X
Umm..nah . Sound like a straiqht up lazy track, he should refocus all that enerqy he put towards muqqin & actually pay attention to what he lettin come out cause this is way below averaqe for him . Ne Yo didnt help .
its coo but im kinda mad about da traxc the beat garbage this old ass timbaland recycle beat i hope game remove this @*#$! from his traxc he tryna get dat lil wayne vibe he cant get dat wayne vibe cuz wayne can drop trash and get luv Game need to due him real niggas kno he truth.
I don't know how to comment this track lol! I've deleted any possible comment many times...well, I kinda like this, it's catchy and energic! The chorus is good and The Game does his thing here. Not the best cut I've ever heard, but still in rotation
